ARRRRRRGHHHHHHH! okay sorry, I'm just complaining because my girlfriend is sick of hearing it. Thank you mentor group. You can always come here and vent! FINALLY got to ride outside tonight, although not for very long. SO nice to be out in the sunshine. Afterwards I did a short run around the neighborhood and there were a lot of kids out playing and people cooking on the grills. It almost felt like summer! |

Randy Yeah Randy, exactly as you say, inside of shins...actually both of them. I am going to resort to taking a few weeks off also. I will try doing the exercises you said. I have very tight calves also, so I've geen stretching a lot and recently got a deep tissue massage on my legs that although painful, has helped a lot. |

SO nice to be out in the sunshine. Afterwards I did a short run around the neighborhood and there were a lot of kids out playing and people cooking on the grills. It almost felt like summer! I hear you on that one! We got outside for a easy ride yesterday also. So much better than being on the trainer! I almost broke out the grill yesterday, but we got home late from the pool. Tonight is definitely a grill night. Highs in the upper 50s today! |

Expert 1694 Illinois | Subject: RE: Lumber Dad's Group - Closed And now for something completely different - I love mountain biking but with all the road riding, haven't been on the trails much at all for the past two years. A buddy emailed me yesterday with a "hey let's do this race just for fun" and it's an Xterra down in Boonville, Indiana. The trail looks very challenging with a lot of ravines and twisty turns. |

You could always explore the exciting and fascinating world of aquajogging! Maybe you would have more resolve than I did with it. I tried to do it for a couple of weeks but just could not get over the monotony. Finally, rationalized that since I was in the pool the time would be better spent swimming. I am hoping to get back to running next week. Leg has really improved over the last 10 days. Will do a few test jogs and then decide. Been 2 months and 7 days without running. And what color are the thing-a-mabobs? If they're not in my color wheel then forget it! haha, JK As for your Xterra, I would totally do it! I don't have a useable mountain bike for such things, nor do I have the budget to buy all the gear that my gear head attitude would require. I love watching Xterras on TV, they are intense! |

Oh heck yeah it will support you! I was sentenced to six weeks of aqua jogging a few years ago for stress fracture and I jogged merrily back and forth in the "therapeutic" pool. As luck would have it, I knew another lady there who had the same problem, so at least there was someone to share the fun with. The thing-a-mabobs are blue! Still on the fence about the Xterra, I do have th gear and I live less than a mile from a pretty good trail system, it's just the fear of broken limbs... |

We don't have one close either; this one is down in Boonville, Indiana, about a 4.5 hour drive from home. |

Expert 799 Waukesha, WI | Subject: RE: Lumber Dad's Group - Closed I just got done with me "long run" before Boston. I planned 19-20 but I only did 18 and I am ok with that. At mile 15 I had the choice of flat and easy which would have taken me the 19-20 or pretty much the hilliest 3 miles you can find and I chose the hilliest. Hit the club parking lot at 18.12 and there was no way I was going to go another mile just for Kicks It was the best run I have had nutrition wise and one of the best in terms of injury/pain in a while. |
