kaqphin - 2008-03-04 8:37 PM Actually Dee all your help with the challenge with the spreadsheets nad answering google advice/team html lists... has been exactly what Ive needed to keep it low pressure...

We should do it again sometime... the workload this time around has (comparitively) been much more managable that previous challenges so its been something I might not mind taking on more regualry...

Then again maybe 4 times a year is enough... Im sure there are otehrs that want to run challenges right?

That would work! It is good to do it with someone else, I think. The challenge where Beth was the Official Greeter was easier for me, too. I didn't feel like I need to do that along with everything else. I don't mind doing the spreadsheets -- As long as I can still play tag on the team threads. LOL That's been fun.

Im sure to those that dont know us its seemed really disorganised... but hey! Like iVe said - you get what you pay for... and well Im not being paid... I even pay BT for my membership!

D001 - 2008-03-04 7:44 PM
sparco - 2008-03-04 8:24 PM So...I could make a really neat Excel graph that plots all your cycles so that we can be more understanding if it's that 'time of the month' for one of the Nibbs...

Be careful. You'll have to decide who gets pink and who gets purple.... And that may result in additional whining and ranting.
Gee, that's the good thing about being older...that mess is less and less often and no longer an issue Of course, the startrek phaser could come back...turn that organ on and off at will, diagnose and treat any concern with no invasive procedures...

Or you could just be diagnosed with ovarian cancer. That ends it all once and for all. (And in a rather abrupt manner.)

Although, this is not really a recommended way to solve the EXCEL graph color predicament....

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Actually, there might be one or two. And I think some people would like to co-organize a challenge. They don't want to do it all themselves, but they don't mind doing it with someone else.

Like the new trend for co-captains that came out of last months challenge?

Its a fair point.... I havent spotted anyone really sticking themselves out in this months challenge... yet... like yuo did in October

Really?

Participant: "Hi, I'd like to join the challenge."
TinkerBeth: "HELLO! We're delighted to have you. Dee will be with you shortly, and get you all set up. Please have a seat in the meantime. And THANK YOU for flying Air BT!"

Those that think it's disorganized aren't factoring in all the volunteer time in planning and setting up the whole challenge IN ADDITION to a full time job and training.  There is also a small group who will whine no matter what is done to meet their requests.  The challenge forum is open to everyone but some folks are slower at making friends in the process.

I know I was a lot more timid in TdF than I am now--how many challenges later?

Maybe once Marmadaddy has a better handle on things we can pull him in with helping program some stuff for the challenges so it's less work to maintain things once set up--just change the specifics of each challenge and the teams based o who is participating that month

thats true - i think part of the appeal with the challenges is that they can be about anything in ANY format! Does that makes sense?

I definatley want to write something out so people know how the challenges work... we dont have one of those stickied at the top of the forum and I think we need it!

Actually, I'm for leaving it more UNstructured.

Part of the fun of the challenges is that you never know what the next one will be like.

I'd think that if it's the same every month, it would start to get a little boring. But, as it is now, there's a lot you can do with it.

Cat's Challenges are different from mine - Because Cat plans it out differently than I do. And if someone else runs it, like Donto, it's also different.

But, to me, that's part of what makes it interesting. (Albeit, it also means it's more work. LOL)
