So I think I will hang back with the 4:30:00 pacer in the beginning of the marathon and see how I feel after a few miles.  I hope I have the energy to speed up and not slow down.

tlnewman30 - 2008-10-17 9:03 PM As long as I am competing in "competitive sports", I wont get charged for the time off.  I actually learned of this through another BTer that is an AirForce Officer.

That's a cool loophole for race time.

Yeah, it's nice.  But if I told you how much vaction time I had for the year you would be sick.

Marines are allowed to carry an insane amount of leave from year to year.

Congrats on the race.  I don't blame you about never taking off the medal.  Maybe you should have it mounted onto a plaque.

Yeah, I have something like 48 days owed, and I earn 2.5 per month or 30 days per year.  We are allowed to carry over 75 without losing any.  So at the end of next fiscal year I will have to use some days so that I don't lose any.

The only sad thing is Swim time will include T1 and bike time will include T2 so Im not going to know for sure just how good they were..

I think the swim was about 6 minutes... And I know I was in T2 at 35minutes (so thats swim, T1 plus bike and part of T2) so that seems good...

'Morning Dark Arts. Looks like last night was a quiet one. I finally got a solid 8 hours sleep... amazing. I'm off to the pool since the doc told me yesterday I can try swimming again! I haven't used both arms since the first week of August. I am beyond excited to give it a try.

For anyone who has or likes cats - especially you Judi, I know you have a couple - this video is hilarious. Sometimes I wonder if my cat Otis does this to me at night and that's why I'm so tired all the time!

One of several reasons why the cats arent allowed in my bedroom (big reason is I'm actually allergic to them but refuse to get rid of them)

Ha, I slept in and crawled out of bed around 7:45 today!  So much for an early start on my run.  I need to go shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding in a couple weeks too.

Dress shopping is either incredibly fun or incredibly frustrating. Good luck!
