Morning ya'all!

I swam last night!  Alot better than last week - I added the nose plugs.  The coach was not thrilled about me having them, but whatever....  I also strained my shoulder.  I'm going to rest it for the week and hopefully it'll get better.

So anyways, he watched each of us swim a 25, then he gave us a critique of our form, etc.  He was actually impressed with my form and my stroke and my kick.  Not so much with my breathing.  I really need to keep my head down and tucked like having a tennis ball tucked under my chin.  I think he said he was going to bring one next week for me to use.  lol.  I really want to get into a pool this week and practice.  I think I might actually be pretty good at this swimming thing, if I can only get my breathing worked out.

On another note, today is my twins' third birthday!  I can't believe they're THREE!!  I'm going to bake them a cake this afternoon.

February goals. 4 weeks, no extra days.

Bicycle. - 180-240 minutes a week = 720-960 minutes for the month of February. 12-16 hours for the month.

Run - 90-180 min/wk = 360-720 minutes for the month. 6-12 hours running.

Swimming - get in what I can without a pool membership anywhere.

Weights. get in what I can, more toning, start the 100 situps routine.

Last but not least, find a job.

Lets go. I will get my January total up later this week.

Buddaha1964 - 2009-01-25 12:19 PM Feeling a little under the weather yesterday and today so I'm taking those too off. Hopefully I'll be feeling a bit better tomorrow and I can run in the morning. George.

Feeling better?

Yep! Just my normal off the road funk caused mainly by long hours poor food and stress.

Now I have something serious that I hope there is no cure for. Came home from work dinner was ready and I have a headache. Soooo I ran 1.28 miles, not a lot not fast but I did that so now I'm not as hungry and the headache is much lower

Ok it'a actually a full blown head cold! Hit me at two this morning Going to coast the rest of the week just to maintain and hopefully recover then hit it hard next week.

George.

Came across MW's blogger:  trainergirlmick   .  And here I am complaining about the frickin' blisters!!!!  Shut up, get out the door, run, ride, whaterver, and enjoy the scenery!!!  Even after having seen my little one go through the dreaded C word, sometimes one forgets about the little things....This is from her list of good things:

  • "19) I have learned not to judge others...everyone has a story. What you see on the outside, doesn't always reflex what is happening on the inside. Everyone has a life story and is worth hearing."

Wow - my sore leg last night seems kinda like I'm just a big whimp!

Definitely an Iron(wo)man!

Next time I'm feeling like a lazy git - I'll check out Trainegirlmick's log and just get on with it - inspiring stuff.

Cool

I found this article on BT earlier this week and in the spirit of multisport being better than slogging away at just one I gave it a go tonight!

OMG!

I didn't manage more than 15 of anythingEmbarassed (only one rep - gotta race on Sunday!) I'll definitely be feeling it tomorrow! And the nice thing is that it worked my lower back too!Smile

I'm lucky in that my gut appears to be made of iron! But, I love this stuff and they do a couple of flavours for sensitive tummies!

(I'm not sure if it'll be available in foreign parts yet...?!!Wink)
