I'm awake now, but ravenous. Bill, you fire a pop tart or 2 over to Iowa from your little contraption Only Strawberry That's fine. I'm not picky when I'm hungry |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! Its a good feeling for sure ANN. the only thing i havent included is a car payment well that and the mortgage. the BEAST i drive is UBER EXPENSIVE and i would NEVER be able to afford it on my own. ive already advocated that we sell the SUV, and 'downsize'....im guessing i may have to lease a car in the interim, so that i can have a lower monthly payment. i know its NOT the way to go long term, just a short term 'solution' until i can get my feet under me. as for the house, im certain at some point we'll sell. which is fine. im not emotionally attached. and use the asset to pay down some debt we have, and then i can use 'my half' for a downpayment on something smaller/more manageable. we didnt want to cause too many disruptions for the kids at the same time....so were waiting but i'd say w/in a year we'll sell. stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2010-03-30 7:09 AM |

OUCHY! and then heading up to the Y to do some ST....i'll be back later this evening to do a 500 yd swim and a 1hr spin. a mile run afterwards if i'm feeling it after the spin. i had my DH go over the household budget w me....and what w my job at the Y, i would only have to substitute 5-7 days a MONTH in order to cover the main bills (electric, water, gas, car insurance) minus the mortgage and the car payment. being financially independent (or at least to a greater degree than i was) isnt as DAUNTING a TASK as i thought. though i wont have the subbing in the summer, i'm already talking to the summer day camp director at the Y. he may need me on a PT to help out w the summer camp (i did HIS job before at a church for 1000+ kids, ya think i can help him out??? LOL) this way i can get paid AND my kids can go to summer for almost free. a win win if all goes according to plan. the planets are aligning for me. stacieb That's AWESOME news Stacie! Good morning Agreed. It looks like things are shaping up for you! x3 here as well Queen!! THANKS BILL. NEAL. once i let the SHEER TERROR subside, then i realized how DOABLE my life will be.... certainly NOT w/out its challenges....but isnt everyones life fraught w challenges?? little ones, big ones. one of my persistent thoughts throughout all of this....IM A FRIGGING TRIATHLETE....THIS i can handle. ONWARD AND UPWARD. ITS ALL GOOD. stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2010-03-30 7:04 AM |

Sounds like much is going well for everyone Stacie, it is so reassuring to realize that there is a path forward, isn't it? Neal, 3 months and you are back to 100 miles a month? You're rockin' it! Bill, I wish you had your camera, too. The moonset sounds awesome. And congrats on your goals. Robin, I hope you feel better soon. Melissa, sounds like you are thinking priorities and balance thru. At least as much balance as a med student and triathlete can have....LOL (and I agree with Ann ... the only way I could approach those times is with rockets) Tom, glad you got a ride in. Ann and Kim, horseback riding brings back good memories. I rode western in high school ... just for fun, no competing. But I haven't had a horse since then. Amy must be out riding her bike I have reached my original goal of a bike century in a month. In fact, I should reach the 110 mile goal that Ann upped the challenge to. Did everyone hit their biking Madness goal? |

I ran at 2 miles at park on a trail on Sunday and though not 100% it was much better than it had been. I'm hoping to do 4 miles tonight in the wind and rain. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! I have a question for THE VILLAGE I am having Easter lunch at my house this year. My family, my sister and her family, including her MIL, my brother and his family, my parents, an aunt, and maybe a few friends all over for lunch. What do I make? My parents are brining a ham. I was going to make a turkey, not a big fan of ham. I don't know what else goes with an Easter meal though. I did pick up a box of Ghiradelli(sp) brownie mix. A little help please |

I know you hate them dear, but you need at least two veggies in addition to taters. (green beans are universal and easy. you can even do a slaw as one veggie). You need some type of roll/ bread. If you are doing Turkey, add some cranberry sauce in a dish. With the ham, you can put out mint jelly or a honey mustard sauce in a dish. Cut up some strawberries and add some whipped cream to serve along with the brownies and you will be declared a goddess. |
