Just enter your cumulative information under the "week 2" category. Don't worry about calculating percentages. I will do that later. For example, if you ran 10 miles this week, just put the number "10" in the column for your running miles. You don't need to do anything else. I'll handle the calculations part. Dee |

Veteran 228 Greenbelt, MD | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's Heya guys...sorry been so quiet...had duty crew at the firehouse overnight Friday to Saturday so when I haven't been working out I've been sleeping since then pretty much. So here's an update on the training...since Wednesday (which I think was my last update). Thursday: Did my usual run/walk with 6 minutes of running and got a strength session in there. Friday: Walked my potential 5k training route (well walked the parts that aren't on my current run/walk route) for a little over 2 miles of walking Saturday: Run/walk with only 4 minutes of running (that's what was on the schedule). Was really early and really cold but a beautiful morning even if I'd had barely any sleep. Today: Swam 1650 yards in 45 minutes. Upped my intervals to 150 yards (ended with a 200 yarder). Felt really good and pretty easy actually. And got a strength/core session in. And just a funny story about how stupid some people are...there's an EMT at our station who is currently training to be a paramedic (and this story is in no way a reflection of the medics on this team...but it scares me that one day she might be responsible for narcotics)...and she's just dumb as a rock...can't imagine she'll pass, but who knows...anyway this is how dumb she is (it's just too funny not to share). She told me her boyfriend wants to be a plastic surgeon and to accomplish this he's studying COSMETOLOGY in college....he's actually in college so I'm doubting he's truly studying cosmetology...she just thinks that's what you need to study to be a plastic surgeon...who knows...maybe he'll do your hair and nails while you're getting your tummy tuck...but still just thought it was hysterical. Good thing it was dark so she couldn't see me try really hard not to break out into barrels of laughter. Hope everyone is making good progress toward your goals...for the month I'm now at: Run: 18.51 miles (61.7%) I'm right on target to finish up on time (but won't have too much room to spare). Now back to watching some football. |

Of course, you COULD always raise your goals. |

Master 1675 Suwanee, Ga. | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's This is what I have to the end of the week. I probably can't post it to the spreadsheet until tomorrow (if I can find it ) Running- 109m18s- 11.2 miles Biking- 97m35s- 15.3 miles Strength- 2hrs-20min. Ultra SLOOOOOOOWWWWWW ride today. Some from the group that I am with that are all newbies...include some who are new to breaking a sweat got together to do a ride. Well...some probably haven't ridden since grade school. Since I am one of the few "former jocks" in the group I elected to stay at the back of the pack and play sweeper and keep those folks out of the ditches. I have to hand it to some of them for braving this challenge and I have NO problem with assisting them in any way...It's just hard when you want to get a workout in and miss an opportunity on such a beautiful day...you know what...that's selfish (sp?) on my part. Some of these folks needed help and I was glad to be able to do it..I will just have to make up some ground next week when we go to the mountains for Thanksgiving...Plenty of chances to run and bike every day...I am going to do this and I am really going to help these other folks try and achieve their goals. Cat or Lyssa..could you PM me with the link to the spreadsheet. I looked for it and couldn't seem to locate it. Thanks..y'all are the best |

I sent it to two people on every team. You can either do cumulative totals, or weekly totals. I should be able to figure it out from the numbers. (And if I can't, I'm sure people will let me know. Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's I was going to do my new run up over the montain today, but it is raining and appears to have been doing so all night. The dirt has this nice clay consistency that I am sure you could make pots out of and the trails often resemble riverbeds. So I guess that is off. Oh well back to work on a day when the rest of the family and most of my coworkers have off. I need to crank out a 30 page report today, so I best get crackin. Will have to do dreadmill tonight. |

Thursday i went on a 3.12 mile run. then on friday i couldn't take it any more i had to do something other than running so i went on a 11.17 mile bike ride and that helped. took saturday off and then ran 9.42 miles on sunday. that brings my grand total and persentage for the month up to 60.12 miles/% its a little behind where i wanted to be but i am going to go out for another run today and am going to have to run every day this week. By the way were is this spread sheet were we are supposed to enter our own info into? |
