aaw... well join the club... Im kind of waiting to figure out what I dont know from being away from BT for two weeks... does that make sense?

enders_shadow - 2008-06-10 12:24 PM From my blog because stuff is going on... Update...my dad is currently in the middle of open-heart surgery. Got the call last night around 4pm. Got in the car with the monkeys at 7:30pm. Arrived in Illinois at 7:00am (yes that is 13 hours of driving...the flights weren't working out), just before he went into surgery. Waiting to hear more, but my access will be sketchy and I don't know when I'm coming back.

Just checked Kristen's log. She wrote that her dad is out of surgery and everything went ok. They'll be back at the hospital tomorrow AM to see him.

Thats great news Kristen... hope your dad continues to recover well

Just peeked ahead in your log. (Your today, my tomorrow.) As Scot said, it sounds like the trip to NZ was sad, but also was meaningful for you, your family and your friends.... You wrote a nice account in your blog.

Aaw thanks Dee - I just realised  while i moved to Oz for my career and that part has been very successful.. outside of that i dont really have much of a 'life' so thats something Im going to work on...

I peked too...wise to find balance in friendships--the kind you can call someone and actually get together with.  This is geat...but it isn't a hug on a bad day unless you count this----> (-----------------------------------------) as a big hug

Well BT has certainly got me through a lot... but Im becoming less nad less convinced that Sydney is the place for me...

Ive always said I either have a great personal life nad carp work one or vice versa.. I havent worked out how to have both yet!

I think that's always the big challenge.  If you figure it out, I'd love to know how to make both work.

and you are right Scott this is not only the only multi sport race I'm registered for - it's the only race I'm registered for

after this, things are just too iffy - selling a house, buying a house, getting kids to college, moving half way across the country..............you get the picture

I may try and register for some 5k's out here if it works out, but if anything it will have to be last minute most likely 

Im not sure what to make of my friend/ex though... Ive been in Syd for 5 years and had two long term bfs since Ive been here... neither has treated me so well, or made me smile as much as he did last weekend...

I think treating the race as 'fun' - something you are doing for you in the midst of all that chaos will mean you are able to make the most of the experience no matter how the end up running it...

the October run challenge - yep, that was the beginning - that's actually pretty cool!

I think the challenges have helped a lot of people with breakthroughs

Aaaw thats sweet - that challenge in particular got a lot of people up and running - nothing like a bit of chaos to force some motivation apprently!

I think we will probably have to do a Halloween challenge again this year... what do you think?

To be honest I really had nothing to do with it.. you were the one who overcame injury, stuck at it through the challenges, worked yourself hard and came out the other side as tinkerbeth... challenge queen

But.. I do think we need a challenge with a bit more inter team rivalry... maybe next month?

I could maybe join the muppet revolution with that, but I need to know more...............
