Done & done...72.69 out of 70 miles!

I have a longish run coming later this week (probably Thursday) - which is all gravy.

So I am going to try to finish this up, but it is going to be difficult.

I ended up in the emergency room this morning with abdominal pain, I am better, but still not feeling 100% hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to normal and can get the run in.

Is everything ok?  Please take it easy and don't finish if you aren't feeling better.  No reason to hurt yourself or make something worse.

Hey team, I just looked at our spreadsheet.  We are at 88.77% of our goal.

Seven people have already made it to 100% - cori_smelker, enders_shadow, geauxtri, givemashot, runnerx, sesh, and triguynewbie.  Congratulations!!!!

The rest of us are not quite there.  We've got until Friday night to do as much as we can (without hurting ourselves).  Here's where we are:

Artemis - 99.89%
Drewhistle - 84%
kromanowski - 93.92%
mchally - 23.13%
phillybarb - 88.1%
RunningJayHawk - 59.95%

Only 100% of the goal counts, so doing extra doesn't really help.  You can help us by making sure that everyone finishes.  (I promise to do another mile this week if it kills me!)

I'm so glad that as a newbie I made the goal! I am at 83.5 miles now, and am still going for 90 by Friday, which is completely do-able.

So, do we get bragging rights if our team wins?

I've heard about that pain. I hope they gave you some good meds to take until the surgery. Take care!

I ran 4.75 miles tonight. I have a 7.15 miles left, which is definitely achievable. I'll have it finished by the end of the day on Friday.

yeah, I crushed my goal already.  I know I did set it conservatively because I didn't want to mess up my marathon just for the sake of a challenge, but things went well.  Actually, the runs themselves weren't going that well - so I added in an extra long run, which helped push me further over my goal.

Now all I worry about is NYC on Sunday...perfect weather predicted.  we got the snow out of the way yesterday.  Freakin' SNOW!  In October?????  WTF!?

(Oh, by the way, can you tell I'm in an irritable marathon-taper mood?)
