well I had to go to my next post....#5000. did I lose all my pretty colorful stars???

drove over to the East Bay and parked in Sunol...rode towards Ohlone...and Geary. Was a gradual climb...then some rolling hills then a few grunt climbs...then a screamer down hill....and back up to the other side...just before you drop down to go to Hwy 80 we turned around and went back....that means we had a few hills to climb up...then some down...rolly pollies...then a nice flat 1/2 mile to the jeep....

had a bowl of oatmeal and bagel/w peanut butter/banana and honey for breakfast

about 30 minutes in had an expresso gu

another 45 minutes in had half a sandwich I had packed for each of us and stored next to my bladder of my camelbak. it was yummy...washed it down with much water and gatorade. 30 minutes down the road ...the dh pulled out the cliff shots...we split the package. quite a bit of food...but I never felt tired in my legs....so it seemed to do its job.

tonight we are grilling some carne asada that is marinading...will add some organic black beans, with some refried beans...cheese, fresh picked tomatoes, grilled onions and some avocados....wrapped in a whole wheat and or flour tortilla....and either a nice glass of wine or a margarita.

Morning team.  No computer access this weekend so I will let everyone know I mowed the lawn for 2.5 hours on my birthday Saturday , went for a ride, had the in-laws over for dinner, woke up Sunday ran 3+ miles before church, church, grocery shop, long bike ride in brutal heat/humidity and then relaxed the rest of the weekend (which was not much )

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

One thing I learned from catching up: no bagel = broken chain - better remember that

\HAPPY BELLLLLLLLLLLATED BIRTHDAY BILL! hope you had a nice day!

is this you pictured below getting ready to go mow????

great idea if you are needing (time in the saddle) - what better then to mow the lawn for an added hour or two.

I just might have to conjur that up.  My neighbors will think I am crazy but I am so that is all good.  Good way to spend 3 or 4 hours of my day!

Thanks for the idea

sure thing~ here are a few more to think about:

no more car shopping:

if you have issues with your tires and get tired of the standard wheels...why not do this:

or if you have a child and want to keep them near by:

he does not look happy does he! I wouldnt either if my tire was tweaked like that!

do they have a bike that I can ride in the pool instead of swimming laps? if so...I want one!!!!

Hey everyone!  Just checking in from soggy Florida.  It's been a funny 24 hours -- from awakening yesterday under a Tropical Storm warning to sleeping through Claudette last night.  She made landfall right over top of my head, and I didn't hear a thing!  I'll take storms like this one anytime -- much easier than some of our previous encounters.

With all of this rain, though, I think I'll take a rest day today.

What's for lunch?  I was craving cold pizza, but ended up with a salad and yogurt instead...

after my swim I want to eat everything and anything that gets in front of me! hoping the husband comes home soon - the dog looks scared! haha

seriously...I have a lasagne waiting and Im not sure I can wait much longer...dont want to make something unhealthy like nachos to munch on before he arrives....why does swimming make me sooooooooooo HUNGRY!? running and biking sure does not have this effect!!!

Morning guys.  I got out and ran this morning. I was supposed to run 4 but was having trouble breathing and such so I thought it best to cut it short.  I should really get to a pool or on my bike today so hopefully life will cooperate and it'll work out.

Sorry to see I missed the food conversation yesterday.  Bummer.  I'm making shredded beef sandwiches for dinner tonight.  Just plop a roast in the crock pot with a sliced onion and some seasoning and cook on low all day.  Pull it apart and serve on nice warm crusty rolls.  I'll whip up a salad too.  We'll probably have watermelon unless the kids eat it all today.

Cheri, enjoy Torture Dan tonight!   I shall try my hand at speedwork again tomorrow.  It didn't go so well last time but I am hopeful for tomorrow!
