Member 465 | Subject: RE: BT Fantasy Football League 1/2 point PPR sounds reasonable. Whatever the majority would want on the number of teams that make the playoff. I would also like to see third place get paid something maybe a 50%, 30%, 20%. The bronze has to be worth something.... |

West Toast Villianz - $127.50

For the rest...better luck next year. I will post this same information on the yahoo league site and can PM or email the spreadsheet/breakdown of the finances to anyone that wants to see it. And I will begin making payouts to those listed above today. Thanks again and lets continue the talk already started about modifying the scoring/setup for next year. I'd like to get that all ironed out well before draft day. |

The regular season champion is not the team that gets the number one seed at the end of the regular season? As always, thank you for putting this together and I am looking forward to next year. |

Resident Curmudgeon 25290 The Road Back | Subject: RE: BT Fantasy Football League Yeah, I was third in the division at the end of the regular season. Maybe if there was prize money for regular season scoring champ... The league I've run for 15+ years has prize money for each of the two division champs in the regular season. The division champs also get a first round playoff bye. In that league we charge $5 per transaction (trades and free agent). The regular season scoring champ gets the transaction money. Total ranges from $150-$300 every year. Thanks again Kristen for putting this all together. Looking forward to next year! |

Master 1895 | Subject: RE: BT Fantasy Football League I know it's only June....but this is about the time every year that I start getting excited for football season! I've renewed the league, so you each should have an email with instructions on how to sign up your teams again. Everyone has been paid out from last year....except Jackemy1 (sorry Jeff, I spaced out on sending your check). Whenever you are ready, get your team signed up and send to me your entry fee of $50 (either Paypal or snail-mail). We talked a little bit about making some minor scoring and payout changes for this season. Let's talk through this stuff now so we can finalize it before August and the draft. I've set the Draft Date as Wednesday, August 28th at 8:00pm. Put it on your calendar now so you can plan ahead and make yourself available! Edited by hamiltks10 2013-06-11 8:54 AM |

Master 1895 | Subject: RE: BT Fantasy Football League Some ideas that have been thrown out there for scoring and payout changes: -Make it a PPR league (points per reception) - .5 point per reception -Payout to the 3rd place playoff finisher -Payout to both division champions at the end of the regular season (rather than just the league champ with the best W/L record) -Change in the # of teams making the playoffs to 6 -Adding a 1st round bye for the division champions -Adding a fee per transaction, which will go in the pot to payout the regular season scoring champ Discuss. I'm for all proposed changes except a payout for Division Champs-- a playoff bye is reward enough. I'm fine with a payout for the regular season scoring champ. How are you proposing transactions be handled? A blind bid system? Can Yahoo! do that? |

Master 1895 | Subject: RE: BT Fantasy Football League My other league just counts a transaction as any Add/Drop or Trade. In our league, you get 10 "free" transactions and then pay $2 for each additional. |

In our league, you get 10 "free" transactions and then pay $2 for each additional. So FA's would still be rewarded based on the order of a waiver system, but you would pay for any over 10. OK, I get it. I guess I'd be on board with that. |

I'm in, money sent. Ready to pound on y'all azzes some mo. Not crazy about the PPR but whatever majority wants. Would rather see the regular season guys get paid than third place. Cut too many peeps into the prize money and it seems like everyone just gets their money back. Love the 6-team playoff and champs getting byes. Transaction fees: the lower the for-free threshold the better IMHO. Don't think I had 20 transactions all season. As I said above, in my big money league we give all the transaction fees to the regular season scoring champ. |
