Haha. Well its not a bodice buster...Its more a sci fi/fantasy type. Its a trilogy. First book is called Myrren's Gift. I'm on the second right now. Its about an army general who is seeking revenge on a king he grew up with. This king is not a good person...bad bad bad bad bad...So evil. I thought it looked a little kiddish when I first saw it on the library shelf...but I thought what the heck. Then I got to like the 3rd chapter...def not a kids book...torture, etc. Its a good story though. But it sci fi/fantasy isn't your thing then you won't like it prob. haha.

I'm in a fantasy/sci fi mode right now. haha...I fluctuate. If you have ever read Terry Goodkind....I hate this king more than I hated Darken Rahl...thats how much I HATE him. haha. (I might get really into books sometimes)...

I have had my fair share of bodice busters too though. haha.

Really really good series though that I would suggest to you though Tom is by Stieg Larsson. Its a trilogy. The first one is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest. FANTASTIC SERIES!!! I highly recommend it.

The library is super duper busy

Lots of kids signing up for Summer REading Program and looking for the books on their school reading lists.  Why do schools decide that all 1000 7th graders are all going to read the same book.  How many copies do they think the library has?

I'm trying to pack up my office, and clean it for the new manager

Train three teen summer workers

Visited my new branch

Figure out who's reviews I need to write at the old branch and when I have to do my first review at the new branch

Oh, and try to find some time to work out.

well....I can tell I have not been around for some time! I posted this message on an old thread...and I wanted to make sure you all saw it!

Im sorry I have not been around and I will come back ~ I PROMISE!!....just not quite ready yet!

I found out in March after just returning from a 3 month visit trying to get my dads health issues in order.....that my mom had a VERY aggressive cancer so I flew back. I spent another three months there and just returned home. Happy to report that mom is about half way thru with her chemo and is doing well! but while there as if this was not enough news....I found out my sisters husband had ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) and has only 5 or so years to live. This was a HUGE blow to me! he is only late 50's and can not believe what he is dealing with! Please keep him (john) and my mom (Jo Jo) in your prayers.....

Hope you are all doing well! I will eventually come back and try to do my best to catch up....if one of you want to send me an occasional email with a summary of activities...I would love to stay in the loop! I miss you alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll....and lord knows I need to have you in my life more then ever, but Im just not able to find the time to get online for the coming weeks.....so til then....ya'll take care and know that my thoughts are with each and every one of ya!

Watching a little hockey, blogging, and updating stuff.

Time for a nap - about 9 hours or so.

Tomorrow is a rest day and I am glad - my legs were not themselves today and we have 100 or so on Friday so I need to be on the ball for that.  Because Saturday we do about 85 or so I believe.  That is going to hurt!

My SIL is a teacher's aid, so she has summer's off. She usually comes to my house 1 day a week to watch my kids, to give my MIL a break. While she is there she cleans my house. She can get my kids to do more in an hour than I can get them to do in a day. She has always told me that this is because she is the aunt and I am the mom. Ok.

Anyway, I got home last night and my house was clean. My kids had cleaned their rooms, they cleaned out their closets, too. They started working on cleaning out what we call the toy room. It's a small room that has a couple of shelves in and where we keep all the toys. Most of the toys are little kid toys, I don't have little kids anymore. We are going to clean that out, put a desk or two in there and a computer and that will be where homework is done next school year. Having 1 kid do homework at the dining room table while the other watches TV in the living room was not a good situation.

So here's to a clean house for the next 8 weeks Ghoulies!

I will never understand that. I've had similiar experiences in the locker room. My favorites are when moms bring their boys who are too old to be in the women's locker room in, or even better yet, bring them to the adult only locker room. I got in an argument one night with a woman who had her 3 kids, 2 of them boys who were maybe around 8 and 10 into the adult locker room. She told me it was ok because they were with her. I told her it was not ok because they weren't 18. I'd be happy to accompany her to the lobby so we could discuss it with the Y staff.

Want me to rough her up for you? I could take her!
