how to download ebooks, etc .

Wow.  Never have done it, but I didn't realize it took 3 hours to learn how to.

It is also about audio etc.  I agree about the time, but what it is - we get lots of questions from people who have trouble downloading at home, call /email/ im us to find out what is wrong.  We need to know enough to be able to figure out if it is something they are doing wrong, their equipment, etc.  Problem is we are librarians NOT TECHIES!!!

I know enough to get myself in trouble (and anyone else that I help). 

For example - kid came in yesterday with an "eclipse" mp3 player.  The advertising for it says it can handle ebooks.  But it is not on our compatible list, nor when I went to the online manual for the eclipse did the manual even mention ebooks.  I finally told the kid to email Overdrive (our vendor) and inquire if the device is compatible.  The kid also could not tell the difference on our page of compatible devices between our audio list and our ebook list (even though it clearly stated on the top of each page what they were referring to.)

Well I got up to go wash my face. I am less vertigo-y than yesterday. Don't feel too nauseous at the moment. Weird.

I guess I should get dressed. I have a mandatory session in n'hour and a bit. Booo.

Good luck with that. I am a techie and people expect me to know everything about every piece of software ever written. I helped a cousin install some software she was having problems installing herself. When I was done she asked me how to use it. I showed her the How To's for the software. I would LOVE to have all the knowledge in the world, but I don't think my noggin would like that. It doesn't know where to store things now.

I worked a couple of hours on Saturday ... I usually have Saturday off.  So now I am feeling even less like heading in to work than usual on a Monday morning.

Also I am already tired because I haven't been sleeping well.  I MUST quit drinking coffee in the afternoon.  but i like it!

I feel your pain with the coffee.

I just tried it. It works with IE8 on my computer at work.

Must be my computer then.  Wonder what is wrong
