Really really cannot afford to be ill--either to cover the medical costs out of pocket, or not be working. Funny a few weeks ago I thought I had food poisoning ... well it's the exact same thing now but worse, so who knows what it is. My sister was gonna take me to hospital tonight but I was delirious and insisted I'm sure I'd be fine by tomorrow. forehead slap ... owww that hurts. Everything hurts. Massive sad face!!!! If you jump on a flight over here I will look after you until you are better - we have a spare room! Brilliant! If you can't make it to Rachel's, you are always welcome in my spare room! I will nurse you back to health - lots of tea, deliciously nurturing home-made meals, and all the Maggie The Cat snuggles you can handle! The only problem would be the snow - we have lots and lots of snow ... so wear layers. |

Hope everyone is doing well this morning, especially you Yanti, although I suspect there has been no miracle recovery yet Its my birthday today, and I am determined to have a fun day, even though I am at work. I started off with breakfast with my husband which was nice, we never breakfast together because I am always straight out the door to train while he heads to work. Then I went to pilates, a nice relaxing start to the day, and now I am in work. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (I hope I'm not a day late - shiftwork really messes with my perception of time ...) |

Oh, technically it was yesterday but I do live in the future. Also, I am claiming it as a birthday week, or at least long weekend. Official celebrations tomorrow. My husband has planned some kind of activity followed by a BBQ and cake. Can't wait! |

Judi....? You are usually around sometime during my work day...? I was pretty tired last night too. Thursday nights I am over a local basketball tournament and that last game that started at 9:30 was really tough. It wouldn't have been good for the guy running the scoreboard to fall asleep. Only two weeks left and it will be over! Yeah! Didn't get my run in last night. It was late when I got home and I was feeling a little sick. I think it was all the junk food I ate while sitting at the score table. Edited by pdbman 2011-03-25 9:35 AM |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Hi all! I have been reading all your posts the past few days, albeit briefly, but I haven't had time to reply to anyone/anything. But know that you all were in my thoughts! I'm FINALLY on days off. I swear these past 4 days have been the longest - we've been short-staffed, over-worked (without going into detail - special duties and special ops were VERY productive the past few days, generating a lot of paperwork for me to deal with!), and as always the women I work with complain about everything so it's been a real challenge for me to keep positive and in a good frame of mind. But - it's over now! Five glorious days off - yay! I was going to stop at the pool on my way home this morning for a swim, but I was falling asleep at red lights and could barely keep the car between the lines - so I decided a swim was a bad idea and just came home to sleep. And did I ever sleep! I don't even think I moved, lol. My gorgeous man brought me the most set of beautiful silver and abalone bracelets from Arizona - so now every time my wrist clinks I smile. I'm a very lucky girl - I really do have a charmed life, overall. Supposed to head out to Canmore tomorrow to spend the weekend with my sister, I haven't seen her in 2 months and she's only a 2-hour drive away ... her husband is supposed to be driving their daughters back to Manitoba for spring break with grandma & grandpa - but the 6-yr old had a fever all week and everyone is sick ... so it looks like I'll be spending my weekend alone! ;-( What's everyone else doing for the weekend?

YIPPEE and pretty pretty bangles! We've been spirit sisters for a while, and yes ... I think I live a charmed life, too. Weekend LOOKS quiet because I'm still not feeling great, but ... you know how it is with me ... it's ALWAYS going to be an adventure even in my own home! Will do my usual Sunday morning swim with piglets if I'm feeling up to it. |
