I'm kinda returning to the land of living...though I was happy with the race, I've spent the last two days fighting with some CRAZY bad depression...not entirely unusual, but its been tougher than average to beat.

Great job everyone from over this weekend!

Here's the race report, finally.

Great job, Kate, on a difficult day with the heat!

Bike hill repeats for me tonight.  6x1.3km.  Halfway through realized I wasn't working hard enough, so the next 3 didn't get out of middle chainring.  Much better .

Great job on all the racing everyone. Nice to see you all finish safely with no injuries. will catch up with the RR's and comment soon.

Well done on the good samaritan role kirsten. The boy will remember you for all the right reasons and realise that humanity is not all bad. I'm with Kirk, I hope they catch the ars*hole.

Hey Kirk, stop wasting beer out of your nose. Early Sunday morning drinking is too precious an experience.

Salty, even i know the cycle ride is a bad idea. And i thought you had the taper madness under control.

As for myself, had a quiet weekend training wise (read as 'did nothing') as i had lots of stuff on. Now bouncing off the wall so will be back at it with a vengeance today.  SB and R are planned for today with the bike and run done as a brick hopefully.

Have a good Tuesday y'all.

Bouncing always brings to mind big T.I.T.S., meaning that which you must be a slave to until July 22.

British piglets RULE.

No pressure

Me to, however, we digress. I guess you want me on the bike then. Do you think i'd look good in yellow?

I went paddle boarding in the sound last night. I got this strange sensation someone was following me and I turned around to see a seal pup right off the back of my board. Just at I got my camera (out of a ziplock bag) he ducked back under. Some other girls that were out there said he had been playfully chasing me for about a mile!

Heck thats a good photo. You look a long way out, hope you weren't on your own, cos i worry about you. (or was the opposite side of the bay just 15 feet behind you?)

Yeah, I am sure Yanti will take you in with open arms as her British slave. Better get to it!

Never tried that particular role. They say life should be full of new experiences. How much is that airfare to Bali?

Asalzwed - 2012-07-10 1:38 PM Ah man, several people have come to my desk today to talk to me about running (randomly) and now I am super nervous for the marathon. Sealed

If you go on a leisurely 30 mile group ride with your friends I think that will calm the nerves a little, just sayin'......

And BTW, I have an appointment next week with my Ortho doc.  If you HTFU and do that ride, I'll HTFU and ask her to lunch.Wink

OOh. Challenge.

Will she wreck her marathon chances? Will he get the girl? The drama continues..........Tune in Thursday at eight for the next thrilling installment to see if they HTFU.

Good! You're getting the slow and the nervous out of your system. All is well and exactly as it should be.

So, talk to me about running.

fffffffffffffffuuuuuu....I don't normally get this nervous.

What would you like to know about running, Yanti dear. Clothing IS optional. You don't even need shoes.

You know I'm all about the clothing-optional! Sports bra isn't optional for running. Although I suppose I could run for a short distance holding them in with my arms. I'd look kinda funny though. (As if I wouldn't look funny enough running naked down the street)

So what did you decide about hydration-bearing?

I have to go to work in just two minutes. How am i going to concentrate now?

You're not, so I may as well distract you further. I'm not allowed to PUBLICLY link to any shots of me naked, but somewhere in this video is a good few seconds of me running down the street in a pink bikini, front and rear. I think it's between 0:40 and 0:50 but I really don't remember. Could be anywhere. The rest of the eye candy is deeeelicious so it's definitely worth watching in entirety.

It was all for the children.

Off-season, which is when you'd want to come anyway since that's when the English weather REALLY gets complaint-worthy,  £635 for a crappy airline and  £750-800 for a top-rate one. Round trip, all taxes included.

Yanti (and Salty, apparently), if you don't like running in clothes you can come to my part of PA for the Bouncing Buns 5K held at a local nudist area.  They allow racers to wear as much or as little as they like.  No photographs are allowed (unless you are photographing yourself) and they post results as anonymously as possible.  It was about 3 weeks ago, I think, so you can plan on it for next year, LOL!

Oh man, they have one of those here too! I actually really want to do it, especially after reading ' Naked by David Sedaris.  I have no issues with nudity but I think I am too immature and would be giggling uncontrollably and pee my pants..err, I guess just plain pee

I'm giggling uncontrollably imagining all that.

They used to have the Bare Hare Triathlon in NC but they haven't held it for a few years.

Aaah, the old BT ... where you could post pics of yourself running naked. Heck, we posted pics of other people running naked.

Where the mods posted pics of lingerie models in lace-only or see-through lingerie.

Okay, I realize that's not for everybody.

But still.

Don't suppose there is a link???????????????????????? thought not.

So one day I was painting the bathroom and was shaking a paint can.  The lid popped of just as the cat was meandering by and she and the floor caught most of the contents of the small can.  Of course, she took off up the stairs, covered in paint! I sent my DH after her while I cleaned up the floor and wall.  He had the pleasure of catching her and giving her the unwanted bath! UGH.  Funny now, not so much at the time...

There are people who actually paint cats. There are coffee table books of these cats.

Kate, I hope you stomp the depression like you stomped that race! {{{KiwiPress}}}

Allen, I must say I look forward to reading your responses each morning!  As for you in yellow, if Wiggins can do all yellow (save the dorky knee-high socks) then you most certainly can. Must say I'm partial to the BMC black n red though...

I've been digging  SKY and Radioshack-Nissan myself Smile

Team Sky. There is no other. Utter pigletude. The Sky piglettes are amazing, too.

My picks are strictly color scheme/graphic design based but I suppose that is a component of pigletude, right?

If we're going strictly on colors and design, I like Lampre. That should tell you everything you need to know about my taste (lack thereof). You do know I live in a pink house with red doors?
