I'm not angry and I've only gotten 13 hours of sleep since Friday night. And 8 of those hours were last night. I think I *heart* ZzzQUIL. I feel like a fluffy baby bunny of joy today!!

nice I slept well as well. I am now just eating a wonderful lunch, trying to figure out how many calories I should be eating, and where I want to live... I'd ask some questions in TT but people are just angry in there.

People use the off season as an excuse for bad behavior, too. Maybe people are just jerks? 

No. I am not fighting it.  I am just being nostalgic.

I will be happy to answer your questions though.  We go to the lake almost every weekend.  Our daughters have each organized a get-together of college or professional friends for a weekend this year.  These have turned out to be highlights of our year at the lake.  The friends are intelligent interesting people who are doing great things in the world.  Getting to have them around for a several days is a delight. The cost is of the satellite services irrelevant.  We can afford it.  

Our visitors' need for internet is not always just a frivolous addiction to the information age.  Sometimes the kids (they are 30 somethings actually) do have legitimate business reasons to use the Internet.  I know that our daughter missed an email that told her to call in on a conference call with a client in Japan and they complained about it to her boss when she missed the call.  The kids that are visiting are in charge of work and research programs that go on even if they are not there. If they don't want to or cannot disconnect from the outside world for a weekend, I will try to be accommodating by providing the connection (and work on my own self-discipline to disconnect myself when I am there.)  I do want them and their friends to come again.

On the up side, Janice will be able to see the new season of Downton Abbey when it airs this year.
