About 3 years ago I must have made about 50 scarves. We sold a bunch of them for the American Cancer Society and then I gave a lot as presents. I think the octopus/squid you made the other week was so cute.kns57 - 2008-02-23 9:52 PM I"m talking to myself. LOL Hehe...I felt like that before. I went back to knitting since it seemed like no one was around. Thanks! I get bored knitting scarves, so I'm trying other projects. I've done a hat, too, and now I'm making a baby blanket for a friend. I enjoy hats. They go very quickly and I think they'll make good presents. |

That would mean I would have to follow directions though. Not so good at that. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Nibbs XV Hm. Today is Feb 24th. I haven't had a single day off from work since Jan 2nd. And yes, I'm including Saturdays and Sundays.... The scary thing is, I'm just falling further and further behind. That said, I'm going to work from now until 5 PM EST, which is when the AMGEN Tour of California will be on Versus TV. At that point, I'm going to take a break to watch it (and to cook up the raw chicken that has been sitting in my 'fridge for days - before it turns completely "Ew-ish" and has to get thrown away). Jen - glad to hear that your migraine is over! Beth - glad you made it home, even if it was just for a short time! Kendra - um, I don't have the patience for scrapbooking. But I do have lots of pics that need to be organized. So when you're done over there... Sal - Hope you're feeling better. (Although why anyone would run outside in 2 F weather....) Pam - have a great bike ride! Kristen - where'd you go? And did you take the ferrets with you? |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Nibbs XV spokes - 2008-02-24 1:18 PM NEW 5K PR BY 30 SEC! 24:27 I never thought I would pull off a PR of this magnitude on a training run. Especially in wind, rain, and 20+ mph winds... 2/3rds of the run was in either a headwind or a crosswind. At one point, I was pulling a 7:15 mile pace into the headwind. Crazy, totally crazy. But I always seem to run well in the rain... and this is the first time I've stayed under 8:00/mi pace for ANY kind of run, like um, ever. What's even more stunning is I did this the day AFTER running 10 miles and riding 20 on the drainer. I'm jacked. Now for some drainer time to spin the legs out.CONGRATULATIONS! GREAT job! |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Nibbs XV Hi Nibbs, I give in...I am sick...cough, cough, sneeze, cough, hack some more... yes, I had to work today too because calling out sick on the weekend means you're going to be called in to the manager's office. I was sicker than at least 70% of the people who came through with their "flu symptoms" as chief complaint. And I was alone in triage with all these people who are essentially too stupid to live--no tech, no second RN. The charge person was an angel though. She knew I felt lousy and had people with open rooms pulling pts out of the waiting room to keep the flow going...(this is one of the few charge people I actually have respect for) |

It sucks that you can't call in sick. Seems like they wouldn't want to take the chance of getting patients sick. |

What an awesome time to get your confidence up! Yeah, you would THINK we could call out on a weekend, but it's like being in school and reporting to the principal's office for talking in class or something if you do. SO not worth the aggravation. I had hoped I could leave but there was no one to pull into triage for me without closing down beds and I didn't want to be the cause of an on call person having to come in |

I'm on inhaled steroids (Advair) all the time for my asthma now and it doesn't seem to have as many side effects. |
