I've been grumpy this week and I don't really know why. I can think of a few things like being tired from running, tired from work last week, PMS. I'm a little annoyed that my husband is really anti me getting a tattoo on my wrist. But I don't know that anything is really causing it.

I hate it when I feel that way - I like Cat's idea of a mental health day

or maybe a massage, or a manicure, or a pedicure, or a facial, or a vacation or

all of the above

All of the above sound great.

start making the appointments

I'm IM'ing with my oldest son

I *heart* IM

hehe nice way to stay in touch!

i don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but sometimes i have better conversations with my kids via IM or texting than over the phone - not sure why that is

i guess i'm not going to analyze it, i'm just glad they like to talk with me

It's a little easier to have IM conversations some times.  You can do other things at the same time.

Its true though - its often easier to say things to epople when you cannot hear/see their reaction I guess... its less confronting maybe?

it must be, I also wonder if it's because you don't have to be quite as focused - you can start a conversation and then come back to it

whatever it is, it seems to work

I actually use IM at work quite a bit as well

exactly

and you can have more than one conversation at a time - although you need to be careful with that one - LOL

so far I haven't found that here - which I'm glad about - I actually use it with the people I work with, sometimes it's just quicker than sending an email or having a phone conversation

Thanks,

I bought some real clothes the other day...my kids think I'm fixated on striped shirts but I hated the other prints out there and there was only one solid one in a style that was  decent.  So yeah, I have a slwe of striped shirts with camis and a lot of new slacks, bought a couple light weight sweaters too...Didn't see any shoes that really floated my boat when I had R out shopping on Sunday though

my challenge team is pretty quiet this month

Mine is almost as dead as the Putrid Puddings were.  It's going to be tough to get most of their butts on the bikes.  I've left slightly sarcastic inspires all over about their bike being lonely but no workouts are posted for over a week for a few of my team.

Cat, I wonder if having a newbie team is such a great idea.  It seems like they are clueless about actually training for the most part.  Maybe the teams should have mixed skill levels so the experienced folks can get more action out of the newbies...just a thought

I definatley think its hit and miss - it worked with some of the teams Ive had - Poison apples springs to mind, and Barloworld...

Not so much with others... maybe there is something in there - you are right it may be a mixture thing!

I think it really depends on the type of personalities involved too... hmm maybe I will not do it for the next challenge and see if I get any requests for it...

pretty hideous, bold big geometric things on baby doll type shirts (umm a baby doll isn't happening here, I worked WAY too hard to lose weight, don't need to look pregnant!) Ugly florals, some nasty crinkly fabric (eww, shudder)
