I am supposed to be on a teleconference right now. They are late in calling me. I can only hope they forget!

I got out of having to go to it.

The software that I am now the admin of keeps me busy. Gov't guy I work with thought it would be better if I stay here and work on it instead of going to a meeting that both of us thought was pointless.

18 minutes overdue....
I am going for a run at lunch today. Never got to it last night. I had to help DH with his campaign finance software. Jees, all those politicians skimming money have made it really difficult for the rest of the folks. The reporting software is a nightmare.

We have a lot of pointless meetings around here.

The one group is notorious for getting everyone riled up about something, then walking away. They aren't the ones who actually have to do the work.

The meeting was so this group could tell us when we were going to roll out something that we haven't even tested yet and are no where prepared to implement. Chances are things would get ugly anyway. If I can avoid those meetings I'm a happy girl.

I think teleconferences fall under the same rules as college classes. 15 minute wait, and if no one shows, class is cancelled.

You had mentioned before about starting a new business.

What business are you guys starting?

We added 4 new cottages to the existing very old ones we had to rent. Our taxes went up by 420 % (yes, percent) so we had to do something to make this place pay for itself. Hopefully it will all work out. That is where the DH is cleaning now.

Yea, WTF is right. Most of the county's land taxes went down. Very political. We appealed all the way to the State. They agreed with us on record but dismissed the case in favor of the county. As a result, my lovely DH decided to run for office.
Some sort of weird Domino effect. I just sigh and sip (chug) wine.

You move into one of the cottages and I will move south and take care of your house, complete with hammock and adirondack chairs for you.

I like you too much to to that to you. This place is a money/ time pit. But you can come down anytime and hang in the hammock, sit in the adirondak's or paddle in the canoes. I find hanging out on the porch watching the "big screen" is just fine, too.

One hour, 3 minutes. I have been forgotten. I am going to take an early lunch break.
