I am saying this so if anyone has a prescription for Levaquin, Avelox, or Cipro handed to them they can ask the person handing it to them if ther is another alternative that WON'T potentially leave you sidelined with muscular injury!! That is *horrible*. Shudder. |

Just like yesterday - not sure what is up with struggling yesterday and today but if it doesn't resolve itself 7 miles this weekend is going to SUCK. Now off to do lunges/pushups/dips. Well done!!! Maybe you just need a break from running? Like 1-2 days off to strengthen and refresh? |

Is it possible to develop an ear infection WEEKS after your last swim? My ears have been bothering me since my last race. But I got home tonight and my right ear has sharp pains and go in and out of "tunnel hearing". I'm achy but also just plain tired... Other than feeling generally crummy I feel well enough to do some running - so don't go getting all excited, Ghoulies! Just trying to decide if I should actually go have it looked at. Or am I turning into a hypochondriac? My opinion I would go and have it looked at. I got an ear infection last year from the shower - not even from swimming. Even though I dry the ears and clean the ears I still managed to. I even tried the swimmers ear drops from Wal-Mart. It would clear it up and then come back. Did this rotation 3 times before I went to the doctor. By that point it was bad... I vote for Dr. x2 anything 'sharp pain' is NAWT GUDE. (as opposed to 'gawt nude', which is great) Take it from someone who thinks she's a hypochondriac, 'pushes through,' and then keels over at the most inappropriate times. I "pushed through" a cold. I should have stayed home a few days into it becoming progressively worse but instead I went to the movies. At the theater all I could think about was breathing... It turned out I was pushing through a terrible case of bronchitis and I should have gone to the doctor much sooner. |

Any suggestions? Don't know why it is not resetting. But here is another option: in your email, set up a filter/folder so that anything with Ghoulies in the subject gets routed to that folder. Keeps the main inbox from being swamped. You can ude one of the emails to get to this thread and then clear the whole Ghoulie folder with one click. As a Ghoulie, I have had to learn defense tactics for my email. The rest of the threads that notify you will still go to inbox or wherever you have them sent. That's a great idea! Thanks. |

Or am I turning into a hypochondriac? Maybe you picked up some bacteria and have been carrying it around while it slowly reproduced enough to cause a problem? Eeewww.. now I'm imagining things crawling around my ear... You're right though, it's certainly a possibility. I did get an appointment to see our nurse practicioner here at work this afternoon. Which is great because I can get my ear looked at AND I don't have to pay a copay to see her! I can save my copay for when I have my carpal tunnel issues looked at later today. I swear, I'm falling apart! Yeah, I considered my choice of words after I submitted it... Sorry I am a sciency type of person and apparently don't think much about bedside manner. LOL |

What is making it such a struggle? I looked at your log and couldn't figure out the issue. ps....your dog is sweet looking The struggle is the legs just don't feel there. For 2 miles I run 3 laps here at home. The first two laps were ok and then the third it just felt a struggle to pick up the feet and move. Thanks - bo is sweet until the devil horns come out. |

If you need some help working on it I know a great comic... http://www.phdcomics.com/ It's all about the struggles completing a masters/phd and the procrastinating adventures along the way. A great comic for anyone! Check it out if your bored or need a break. Love this!! Thanks for sharing! And good luck! What's your thesis on? Don't dumb it down for us, we want to all nod and pretend we understand My thesis is on the effect of a spokesperson's behavior on the company's image and how it affects purchase decisions. Mostly looking at people like Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Ben Roethlisberger, Michael Vick, etc and how their scandals have affected what people think of them, how that affects a persons perception of the company that sponsors them, and whether it affects that person purchasing products from the company. Looking at different things like how age, gender, familiarity with the spokesperson attribute to a person's feelings towards the spokesperson and the company as well. Some days such as last night I questions why I ever wanted to do the departmental honors program and write a thesis but I just came back from a meeting with my professor and now I'm really excited about the research I've been doing and writing this thesis. Soon I get to create surveys and stuff so I can collect some data. I'm actually really excited about that part of the whole research process. |

After today I am off until Sat/Sun (when I feel like doing my "long" run) so we will see if that helps. Probably need to stop the lunges for a bit and see if that helps calm the legs a bit. |

Right now Lisa is in heat, so she's bleeding all over the floor. However, the good news is that she and the cats clean it up. |
