deehtz - 2010-11-08 11:12 AM I worked a couple of hours on Saturday ... I usually have Saturday off.  So now I am feeling even less like heading in to work than usual on a Monday morning.

Also I am already tired because I haven't been sleeping well.  I MUST quit drinking coffee in the afternoon.  but i like it!

I hear you. When it is cold out especially I like it!

kns57 - 2010-11-08 7:06 AM Good morning Ghoulies.  Got a training class from 11 - 2 today.

Taking it or teaching it?

taking.

how to download ebooks, etc .

Wow.  Never have done it, but I didn't realize it took 3 hours to learn how to.

It is also about audio etc.  I agree about the time, but what it is - we get lots of questions from people who have trouble downloading at home, call /email/ im us to find out what is wrong.  We need to know enough to be able to figure out if it is something they are doing wrong, their equipment, etc.  Problem is we are librarians NOT TECHIES!!!

I know enough to get myself in trouble (and anyone else that I help).

Good luck with that. I am a techie and people expect me to know everything about every piece of software ever written. I helped a cousin install some software she was having problems installing herself. When I was done she asked me how to use it. I showed her the How To's for the software. I would LOVE to have all the knowledge in the world, but I don't think my noggin would like that. It doesn't know where to store things now.

i know, people expect you to know everything.  It amazes me.

Sadly, that person is me finishing my first tri. The other is me (in a kilt) at my first ever run/race in public.

Hello Gouhlies!

I need some help--how do you get linseed oil off of glass? And cars? We sprayed the patio cover with linseed oil Saturday, and apparently the wind was a little windy-er than we thought. Th cars on the other side of the house are dusted as well. And so is my sliding door that that leads out onto the patio (no surprise there, though).

No great ideas. I know that oil - regular veggie oil rubbed into tree sap then washed with detergent works. Maybe it would work on the linseed oil as well.

I think acetone would take it off. Not sure if you want to use that on your cars though.

Yeah, that's the catch for sure. The sliding door I will use acetone or something...hubby brought some acetone home from work to clean off his windshield. it was rellly bad. Mine isn't too bad. The car's painted surfaces, I don't know what to do. Maybe I'll just pay to have it detailed and tell them what's  on it. Let them worry about doin the muscle work. I wonder if the fact that it's raining and cold here would affect their prices....

Question of the day:

What is your favorite music when you're in the mood? Something you'd like playing in the background while enjoying a candlelit dinner.

So I didn't regster for the half iron I am planning on doing in July until yesterday. Registration opened up on November 1st. Last year Vineman sold out the first week of December. I figured I could comfortably wait until, well, today, to register. (We had a busy weekend and were in Odaho all day yesterday). I got a call from a friend yesterday afternoon saying it was sold out, but there's a waitlist. I immediately logged online on my trusty iphone and registered for the waitlist. Ugh.
