1stTimeTri - 2010-11-10 12:19 PM Had some dental work done this morning - an old filling was replaced - and was on the verge of getting a root canal.  The nerve killer is wearing off and feels weird on my right side jaw, cheek, chin, and tongue.  This should be fun for the next 3 - 4 hours.

Ouch!!

mbasta - 2010-11-09 6:20 PM Alright everyone - have a great night/day! Time to go play Call of Duty Black Ops with husband.

I stay away from Call of Duty. If we had that in the house, my BT time and exercise time would disappear and I would end up divorced. I know my weaknesses and try to avoid them.

This is exactly why we have no video games in the house...  I'm dreading the day my kids are old enough to beg for something other than their Leapster!  A few years back my brother found his old school Nintendo and let me bring it home with me.  I think I played Tetris for DAYS nonstop...  I had to have my hubby hide it from me after that.  Actually both of us are pretty bad at that.  And I wonder why I have carpal tunnel issues!

Meh....it depends.  I can't play for more than an hour or so at a time and I don't have the patience to do the same thing over and over.  My husband does, though.  But, it makes him happy, so I don't complain too much.

My boyfriends newest obsession is starcraft 2.  Plays for hours and hours at a time, I tend to have to pry him away from the computer so we can go to dinner with friends.

TriAya - 2010-11-09 10:23 AM I'm very tired. This is probably due to doing two major things today. Do I need to sleep, or have Pop Tarts?

Oh, of COURSE. Pop Tarts, then sleep.

Frown No pop tarts have come to visit my house recently. I think word got out that once they pass through the door they never are seen again so now they are avoiding me.

Ooooo. Pop tarts!

Brown sugar & cinnamon pop tarts are soooooooooooo good.

Shermbelle - 2010-11-09 8:01 PM Hola my fellow crushers, getting ready for a run.

Question, why is it dark when I go to work and dark when I come home? And also, when will it be warm again?  Cry
answers: 1) I live in Michigan  2) June Frown

I hate days like that and I know they aren't too far off for me either.

What? Slackerville gets cold and dark?

Hm. Maybe I don't want to move there...... Hm. This definitely messes up my future living goals. I was *sure* I wanted to move there....

Shermbelle - 2010-11-09 10:55 PM Got in an hour run, if someone can please find my mojo, please send it back. Struggle to get out the door lately. Frown

Sounds like over worked and over stressed issues. Sounds like its time for some medical leave. Oh wait, that's California where you get time off for stress.

Really?

So maybe I should forget moving to Slackerville, and go to California instead?

(I'm sure someone is going to make a comment about this.....)

I missed another meeting. They sent out a meeting announcement at 5:00 for a meeting at 8:00. I started at 9:00 so it was over before I even had a chance to know about it. I might have to look into changing my schedule.

No no no. When was the last time you went to a PRODUCTIVE meeting? Leave your schedule as is.

Althought......... If you got there at 9:00, but missed the announcement at 5:00, then maybe I DO need to move to Slackerville, 'cause those sound like pretty good hours.....

My BIL gave us a PS2 many years ago. My wife and I weren't too happy. We let him keep it but limited the games he could play and the amount of time he could play. We weren't too popular at times but he has told us since that he is glad we did it. It also helped me limit my time, which was another concern I had. I used to get pretty consumed with video games when I was in high school.

I'm a bit absent in the posting stakes right now. I have my 4 projects on the go and I'm also writing a research proposal on the lovliest of subjects, gonorrhoea.
Added to that its my husbands 40th b'day tomorrow so I have a weekend of fun and frivolity planned but still plenty to get done to make sure its a success.
Oh, and then theres training....

Must run, might be back to chat at lunch

Wow, that's pretty early for Christmas decorations. At least outside of the retail world. It sounds like fun though. I'm getting excited for the decorations here. We usually set them up the day after Thanksgiving but I'm thinking we might do that early this year.
