I was told to hold back one group for the main workout which was a 4 mile tempo, doing the last mile about 10 seconds faster than the other 3. I was kind of ho-humming because my legs felt just SHOT because I swear, Yanti is trying to kill me with this OLY stuff. Anyway, I HTFUed and did the damn workout. We did: 6:56 THEEEEN, we did 5 x 200. OMG I haven't even run 200 before. I felt like my legs finally came alive, they were:
All of this just makes me happy in every way. FU Grinning from ear to ear. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) TriAya - 2013-05-09 12:09 PM I am going to get a small frame mounted pump because I have NEVER had luck with CO2 cartridges. Would rather take the time with a pump than have CO2 failure in a ride necessitating a SAG from my husband (who has NO clue where I ride and I can't give him the directions he looks for....Bizzee bizzee Manatees! As usual. JO whatever happened to your hematoma?! Argh. I will find many more ways to blather about myself ridiculously but for now ... TYRE or TUBE CHANGING / FLAT FIXING PRACTICE just a friendly reminder. I swapped out a tyre* in the middle of my long ride to practice it when I was hot, wet, dizzy, tired--i.e. similar to race conditions. Time from me getting off the bike to back on: 4min 40sec. Not shabby, not great, would be less if I didn't use a pump, would be more if I had to fish things out of a saddle bag. *not the tube, so the opposite of what you'd usually have to do to fix a flat but pretty much the same sequence. I wanted to put a dedicated trainer tyre on. |

Yes, the little girl is me (I know you just CANNOT imagine that's how I was as a child) when the author met me (and in a similar manner). She's the one who discovers the truth about the gruesome murders that have been going on in her village. P.S. The artwork is actually breathtaking in print--it's black and white as you can see but the shading is in silver. You can feel free to do them with a board or without. Most people I'd insist on no board, and very specific types/drills of kicking, but you actually have stellar body tone and great position in the water. But also, you're a minimalist and I kinda see you doing them boardless. Does your pool have kickboards? (doesn't really matter, just wondering aloud) Some kick sets or repeats or set parts, like other important things in life, are specifically meant to be done on your back and will be noted as such. (One of them tangentially). I know I keep saying how awesome and incredible it is that endurance sport and multisport have just TAKEN OFF here in the last 4 years, but it's just been amazing and dizzying to be part of it from the ground up. These are from the inflight magazine of our national airline (Garuda, in case anyone is a trivia buff) ... so cool. I mean, think about how relatively popular cycling and triathlon are in the U.S. and whether two such events would be featured in the magazine of a major carrier. My sister is organizing something like a Tour de Bali, a multi-stage charity cycling challenge around the island. Unfortunately, it's the frickin' WEEKEND BEFORE Ironman Japan (which is on Aug 31)! The beautiful building is the private-club restaurant at the St. Regis resort that it seems tradition for me to go to before Ironmans for their 50-course Sunday brunch (I've never managed more than 40, though). I have a date with my brother and sister to go there on Aug. 18 to get me out of depression taper, motivated to go race, and send me off well. That's awesome! What? You can't HTFU and just use it as a warm up for IMJPAN. Ahhh I love Japan. Yokohama and Tokyo are probably my favorite cities I have ever been to.
Additionally, when I come visit let's have an eat off. I think I can at least get to 41 I have an advantage. Included are free-flow cocktails. I don't need cocktails. |
