Just got done with a 4 hours trainer ride.  Even though its pretty warm here today its still tough to get outside for that long, I tend to sweat and then freeze because I'm wet.

Almost done watching all of The Tudors on Net Flix.  Any suggestions for what I should watch next? What does everyone like to watch when riding on the trainer (other than Coach Troy)?

Big fan of HBO and Showtime shows.  If you never caught Six Feet Under, then that would be at the top of my list.  It's my favorite series of all time.  Dexter is good, too.  United States of Tara.  Gah, there are so many

Just got done with 2 hour 10 minute outdoor ride. It's 50 degrees. I was actually overdressed. I struggle with 90 min trainer rides. Nevermind 4 hours. 100+ miles for the week. That's goodfor me. Nice job Kelly. Wish I had your patience. I need scenery change and have to use a workout video to get through trainer rides. Need a way to change that up. ----------- now taking 7 year old to iron swim with 50 other screaming kids at an indoor pool.

Great job Carrie!!

Did 1:35 on the trainer this morning I don't want to think about 4 hours at this point.

42 degrees here but to much salt and mud guck on the roads to make it worth riding outside.

2 hr and 40 min trainer ride.  i am doing jorges plan and it is kicking my butt.  the first hour was at 83% then the second hour at 85%.  the final 30 min were to be at 90% but i did not have it in me so i kept it at 83%.  i hate not doing the workout correctly but i just did not have it in me today. i also tried to do it fasting.  i got about 1hr 30 min before i had to drink some IM perform.  the crazy thing is that when i got finished i felt very nauseous.  i tried eating a bagel with chicken salad and that did not help.  i broke down and drank chocolate milk and felt better.  i tell you i am addicted to sugar!

oh i watch anything on tv.  i keep the remote right next to me and change channels all the time.  usually a sporting event or a news channel.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

I've been wanting to do a fasted run for two days now but I'm too chicken. Embarassed  I know it's no big deal but I'm HUNGRY and I want to eat.  I do not deal with hunger well.  I know it's good to do though, so I need to suck it up and do it.

Tomorrow morning before my swim class - I promise I will do my fasted run.  Somebody make sure to ask me if I did it.  Or perhaps a guilt trip reminder tonight would be good.

Nice job Carrie!

I tend to listen to podcasts when I ride the trainer. Keeps me entertained and is a bit more focused than if I was just listening to music. I like the IM Talk tri podcast a lot.

No training for me today - haven't felt well this week so it's basically been a wash. My tri club's 20th Anniversary party is tonight at at a hotel bar downtown with 360 degree views of San Francisco. It's a dressy party so I got my haircut and styled and now I'm getting ready to head down to start setting up since I'm on our board of directors. Really looking forward to getting dressed up and spending an evening with my tri friends without spandex!

WELL?

Haha, thanks!

I did a fasted swim this morning.  I didn't plan out my morning well and ended up not having time to run beforehand, but I will be running later tonight.

More fasted workouts coming this week!  I promise.

Thanks everyone for all of your support! The races were great (I will post more later) and Disney does an outstanding job making everything easy. I am quite terrified how my legs will feel tomorrow as they feel like they have been pulverized! They felt partially pulverized at the start of today ...

Good morning all,Some of you know me, as I was a part of the mentor group over a year ago and dropped off the face of this earth after some complications with my pregnancy.Fast forward a year - I have a beautiful 3 month old baby named Laina, and she is doing wonderfully.Yesterday, with Kelly's support, I ran my first post pregnancy race. I cannot than Kelly and more importantly, her mom (for babysitting), enough!!!!! I really pushed myself, and Kelly being there forced me to push harder than I would have had she not been. My time was essentially one minute per mile slower than my performance at this race last year. I finished in under 27 minutes. So now I'm psyched, but now I am struggling with how to juggle training with working and being a mom to a newborn on an extremely unpredictable eating schedule. Add to that that I am pumping breastmilk for her for 2 hours a day. I need a routine but an on demand feeding schedule makes it extremely hard.At any rate, thanks again to Kelly and Maureen. I'm back. I also stalk this group daily! Great job Carrie!!!!Have a great day!
