They should fit under the seat, 1 each, if you want to fly them.  That is how I got Curious home, in a carrier under the seat in front of me on Southwest.

Yeah, they are small enough.  I would have to drug them though.  My boy does NOT like being in a crate/bag/cage and will bark and bark.

One scary time, I had him in a crate over night because he was having toilet issues and I was trying to re-crate train him.

I went down stairs the next morning and the entire crate will covered with blood.  I almost freaked.  He tried so hard to get out, that he ripped his own claws off scraping at the gate to get out.

Oh poor baby!!!!

Yeah I drugged Curious up pretty good before the flight!

My dog freaked out a kennel owner because there was blood everywhere when she checked on him - turns out, he was wagging his tail so hard/so much that he cut it on the fence.

OK another powerlifting competition here in Tampa Jan 26.  I am trying to decide if I want to enter.

Yes. Do. You know you want too!

Yeah I kinda do, but I am also trying to train for the erg. sprint race in February.

I had a timed 5000m row the other day and thought I might die. I've not rowed more than 500m in a long time. I sucked too.

Yesterday was a hlaf hour row so I have no idea how "far" I ended up being.  I get to do 5 x 500m tomorrow morning with descending splits and 3:30 rest between.  It will be fun I am sure!

Oh yes. Fun. I should start the rowing again. Although that 5000m KILLED my SI joint. It was fine until I hit about 3000m ....then every times pushed back ...owwwwieeeeee. By the end. Unbearable. Not good.

Ooooh Ouch! It's always fun when we row around Davis island ~ a 5 mile row.  about halfway through my left leg and butt cheek goes to sleep.  Then it starts waking back up when we are almost back to the dock.  The pins and neeldles thing is very disconcerting!

I hope that SI joint thing gets better for you.  My son was breech and used to kick me mostly in the left sciatic nerve.  It hasn't been the same since and that is the side that give me trouble most often.

Ouch. Damn kids!!! It will not get better. There is a lot of osteoarthritis in the joint and that's degenerative. But I am strengthning up the muscles in my hips legs back abs ....that will help stabilize it more. Since I've been squatting heavier and deadlifting it's improved the day to day pain. I can sit longer and walk further without pain in the piriformis or sciatic!! That pleases me!

Ah not a fun situation but it is good that you can and will do the things you do to ameliorate some of the effects.  so many just sit down and give up.

Another time, at the groomers, they put both of them in some cages they they have stacked up.  So they were probably chest high (to me).  As soon as I opened the cage, he hurled his body out and smashed himself on the floor after falling over 5 feet.  The heights freaked him less than being in the cage.

I TRIED to catch him.  But I grabbed the girl first because she's a good leaper and felt she may give it a try and he would wait since he's afraid of heights.  But I bent over to put her down, and he came crashing down.

I will probably just leave around 2-3 myself.  I have extra house in this pay period and I don't get paid for them, so it's easier to take time off.

Anyone know how much kenneling is?  Is there a deal for two dogs?

I don't know what to do with my little dogs over the holidays.  No one can take them in.  My bio-dad and his wife really want us to bring them but they have white carpet and white tile and white walls (not that poop should be hitting the walls)...

And my dogs are BASICALLY house trained.  They are at our house except for the girl who now has a bladder stone causing some minor bladder issues and little "accidents".  Long story.  But at a new house, they sometimes don't know the routine.  So I fell like I would have to monitor them 24/7.  I would hate for them to pee on a while carpet....  They have a dog of there own, which is a plus.

But kenneling may be WAY too expensive.

I don't know what to do...  and stressed.  Holidays suck!  haha!

Some places offer a discount if you board two little dogs in the same kennel. You'd need to plan ASAP though, kennels can fill up during the holidays.

My kennel charges $22 per dog per day, only like $1-2/day discount for boarding in the same run (standard kennels are indoors but have a door they open so they each have a long narrow outdoor run to romp around it, I like that). There's also the option for a Luxury Suite, with furniture, themed decor, flat screen TV and web cam you can log into 24/7. It's $45 per dog per day.

They also have a SLEW of add-ons - walks, cuddle time, and a night time "tuck in" service (that's only $2 extra, haha)

I would do 50 a day for both...  But that's about my limit.  That's not a bad price.

because my dogs are small, they let me put them together in a medium dog crate and that saves me a little bit of money (i pay $50 per night, but would pay around $30 per dog if i put them in separate crates)  it includes doggy day care, they are usually exhausted when i pick them up.

i take them to a care-a-lot pet supply, which is a local chain that ALWAYS has groupons and coupons in junk mailers.  check those out!!

Been calling around just for the heck of it.  Prices are up for the holidays (around $57 a night for a shared "room" for the dogs at Pet's Mart.  They even offer "doggy day camp"  blech...

BUT, booked up of course.

Another place is 32 an night if in a shared kennel/cage.  That's at my animal hospital that I go to.

What do you suppose would be better?  Mega Mart or Hospital?
