At work after my long weekend.

Turns out, I like my time off. It is that pesky money thing that makes me come back to work.

Hope Frank's Birthday was great!

Got a crazy day ahead. I'm working until 1:00, I'll have to get my workout in when I get home. The kiddos will be home at 4:00. We need to be out the door by 5:15, so I'll have to get them fed, changed for their practices, and hope there's no homework. Donnie has a board meeting at his church tonight so I need to take Caleb to practice in 1 direction, he practices 5:30-7:30. Then take Keri the other direction for her softball practice 6:00-8:00. I'll watch for awhile, then go back and get the boy, then go get Keri. Whew!

A friend of mine, whose daughter is on Keri's softball team is going to make sure that Keri isn't left alone at the park in case they end early, or Caleb runs late.

Before practices the kids eat light, so we'll probably eat again when they get home. Showers. Then off to bed!

That made me dizzy and tired just reading it!

If you're not busy you could come up a kid to practice.

How was Dock Fire Pit night?

I would be up there in a heartbeat, but I have a ton of stuff to get done before I hit the road again this week.

Fire Pit night was fun, however, I had two tequila sunrises. I rarely, if ever, drink mixed drinks and wow... my head is a bit delicate this am.

Good folks came by and we stayed out late. It got pretty cold, too. No shooting stars were seen, so we pretended we saw them ooohing and aaahing at nothing.

I need to walk more, strengthen my legs more, and back off the running a bit I think. I think I'm getting some tendonitis at the top of my patella on my right leg. I put rock tape on last night for our walk and it helped. I've been fighting it in my left leg for a year now, I don't need tendonitis in both legs.

Slow and steady is the way to go. Getting things stronger before adding the pounding of running is good.

I'm playing hooky today from work.  I did not sleep well last night, knew we had good coverage at the branch, so here I am at home.  Tonight I go to the theatre to see Sister Act.  Looking forward to it.  Luckily I do not have to drive everyone tonight.  Woot! 

Ann, you have a busy schedule tonight.  Wow.  

Robin, nurse that tequila head.  It will improve.  

August weekend I have Lake Lure Tri down for August 23, 24, 25th.  Is that the right weekend?  If so, Robin I would love to be able to stay with you and leave your cabin open for rentals.  Let me know it that will work.

Do you know how much easier my life would be if I could pee standing up?

I mean not only could I pee while standing up, but the damn men at work would listen to me. I just went 3 rounds with the Wintel team lead about 2 of our servers, he refused to listen to what I had to say. I deferred him to one of the guys on my team and he only had to be told once he was wrong and he accepted it and moved on.

This happens frequently with this guy, and another in here. I've learned that as long as I said "because Pete said to do it this way" they will leave me alone. I use that phrase now whether I've discussed the issue with Pete or not. Pete is aware of this, he thinks it's both funny, and sad.

Just because anatomically I am different that does not mean I am stupid! I just as much, if not more, than you do men!
