I don't know how anyone can actually root for the Cyclones.  They have been bottom feeders since I was old enough to follow Big-8 football (32 years or so).

Plus being picked on by a Hawkeye?  Pretty bad when you have to stoop to picking on the Cyclone's to build yourself up.  Sounds like a 3rd grader picking on a infant and bullying them

What can I say.  Love is blind   (and so are alumni)

Hey Stumpies!

Hope you're out running, because I'm being a big slacker... haven't quite recovered from my race Sunday...mentally or physically and so I'm being a big slug.

Ok so, on Saturday when the miles are collected it will look like I am behind, but don't worry since I had to move my long run to Sunday.  It is scheduled for a 18 miler, so I will more than make up the difference then.

Go Stumpies!!!!!!

I just read your RR.  Way to go.  Bummer that you first Oly was changed to a Du, but better to be safe than sorry.  Quite the respectable time I might add.  We will forgive...for now  Enjoy your down time.

Got a 10 miler lined up for Saturday morning, been holding steady with 4 mile runs this week. Don't worry, I'm starting a serious ramp up on distance. Anyone else totally floored by the minimal mileage goals of the Nads? Good lord...

lol...

You either run very fast or you can take long lunches.  Good job!

I never really paid attention to that.  Wow, not even 400 for a total.  And I thought I was a slacker

It helps that my scheduled lunch is 1.5 hours and I can extend it if I want.  Something about the Marine Corps wanting it's service member to be in good shape.

Blew off a 5 miler last night that I am doing tonight and I am off the next 4 days so I plan on doing a 5 miler tomorrow and a 14 miler on Saturday.  Next week = 31 miles and then I have to do a 44 week the last week - so much for the 10% rule I guess.  Well if I get hurt hopefully it is after the last long run and all my biking is done from the other challenge.

That way I can work on my swimming all winter long - yippee!!

And lift weights because that is what Triathletes do!

I keep telling myself the same thing about my running, just need to make it through Oct and finish the Denver Marathon and then I can hurt myslef.

That is why I keep waiting to send my Philadelphia application in.  Just in case I do get hurt I would hate to be out $125 for late registration!

I hear you on that one.  I would be out my registration money if I get hurt.  The only bad thing is if they close out registration, that is always upsetting to.
