Good job. I missed my chance to say inspiring words but I am glad you did it. Funny how many times you can be so scared and you just go out there and do it and your fine. Racing is like a drug. Scared to do it but when your there the rush is awesome.

I am very happy for you and am glad you did the race. When the Cap Tex got rained out, I was going to sign up for the Danskin, but the distance and course intimidated me. My training partner was at the Danskin on Sun - she did the run portion on a relay team. She said it was a brutal course. Even living in Austin, we've never trained to run on hills. But we'll both be out there in July for the Couples Tri (Couples = teams of friends, family, etc) and my first Tri is next Sun in Pflugerville.

So...when is your next one ?

Thanks! I appreciatte your advice and even though I completed it, I will defenitely do more training. Perhaps because the next one will be to improve on the first one.

hehe, yip I know...It is quite an emotional experience eh?!

Yep, the run felt pretty long since there was a couple of hills and it was on grass. The nice thing is that most of the elite athletes who finished early sat close to the finish line cheering us on. They were wearing their medals which also gave some extra inspiration.

Good luck for your upcoming triathlon!!! I'm sure you will do really well. Trust me, if I can do it...you can too!
