Subject: RE: IM course ride July 5thWell, I survived! A few things I learned: 1. The walmart road bike is great for a sprint event. 2. The walmart road bike SEAT is great for a sprint event. 3. The walmart handlebars aren't tall enough for a sprint event. 4. This wasn't a sprint event. 5. The walmart road bike gears suck on real hills. Not surprisingly 6. My kidneys need an anger managment class when I do long rides on this bike. Would I do it again? Maybe next year, if I have a better bike! It took me something like 3.5 hours to do this course, with lots of walking on most of the hills (actually, almost any up slope ) on the back half. I just couldn't summon the energy to do these hills, even in granny gear. Edited by rcav8r 2009-07-05 12:16 PM
