hi fellow bikers... I have a little problem.. I'm sure on the sign up sheet I wrote in 12 hours (which is what I have planned for Feb.) but on the spreadsheet now I'm signed up for 15 hours. I do have a lot of 30 minute rides planned that I could extend to 45, it's just with all this snow I'm going to have to do all trainer time, but they do say you should trust the plan and stick to it.

What do you all think I should do?

Our team has to win this challenge because I've never watched a football game in my life and I do not want a football avatar. Help me out guys... if just a few of you watch my logs and make sure I'm not falling behind then maybe I can do the extra 3 hours and be on the winning team.

I think you should do what you feel comfortable with. If your goal is 12 hours, we can easily change it on the spreadsheet, but if you want to up your goal, that's okay too. This challenge is all about challenging yourself not trying to keep up with a goal that is going to stretch yourself too far. If you want to stay with 15, we'll leave it, but if you want 12, we'll change it. It's that simple!

Everything that Tammy said --> x2.

Hey We heart T.I.T.S.,

I did some T.I.T.S. this morning and wanted to log my miles, but I can't seem to find the spreadsheet. Where do we do that? Thanks.

Hey fellow t.i.t.ites!  Hope your Saturday is starting off great. If I can find my legs today, I hope to get some t.i.t.s. in today.  Think I left them on the trail somewhere in the snow

Um, I think Marmadaddy can pretty much do what he wants around here! Oh, and the Bear is on this team too. He's a moderator. Better be careful Team! We've got "the big guys" watching us!

Even big guys need T.I.T.S.

Tammy and I may be the co-captains but Bear IS the KING of T.I.T.S. and B.A.L.L. (don't know if he's a Saturday or Sunday guy so will leave it at that) on this team.

Maybe he has T.I.T.S on BOTH days!

(OK, it felt funny to write that... Especially when I was going to add that maybe he has B.A.L.L.S. on both days, too. Hopefully, Marmadaddy and the Bear have a good sense of humor - otherwise, we're going to find our team thread pulled on day 2 of the challenge, and all of us banned from BT!

Maybe I should add a reminder/disclaimer that T.I.T.S = "Time In The Saddle" and B.A.L.L.S. = "Bike A Long Length Saturday" (or Bike A Long Length Sunday). )

Heh, I feel much better now that I'd added those definitions! LOL

Thanks Dee.  I just logged some time.  I changed my goal to minutes though since adding up .67 hours is going to be a pain in my saddle.  It's the same amount of time so I don't think it will matter to anyone.  If I'm wrong please let me know and I will change it.  I just got back from a "wild B.O.A.R.".

How do I get this cool thing on my training log? Oh what is an avatar?

An avatar is the picture you have underneath your username.

Getting the team links onto your log:
- Highlight the entire table. Hold down the CTRL key and hit the C key at the same time.
1) Go to the Control Panel and get to your blog. I see you have a link to the team thread on there already. So you know how to get there.
2) Put the cursor where you want the table to go. Hold down the CTRL key and hit the V key at the same time. This should paste the table into your blog.
3) Apply the changes.

That should paste the table into your blog. If it doesn't.... come back here and let us know. We'll help you more.

Hi Cathy,

Let's assume that it happened when I copied the info over. (Usually, I copy and paste it. But sometimes, I have to type it in when the copy/paste gets messed up. So if I typed it, well, it's very possible that I was dyslexic there.)

I've set your goal on the spreadsheet to 12 hours, since that's what you signed up for.

I got started on my goal today!  This will be a real challenge for me since riding in general, and especially on the trainer, is not one of my 1st choices for a good time!

Just so you all "get" it, I call my bike "grandma".  That's how I'll refer to her in my blog.  "She's" a 33ish y.o. Peugeot 10-speed that my MIL handed down to me so I could actually have a bike to do this thing called triathlons, which I'd wanted to do for a long time.   My first couple of races were done on borrowed friends' bikes until this relic was brought down from an attic in their garage.  It's certainly served it's purposes (we've survived 2 seasons together), but she's not the easiest thing to ride - 31 lbs, she doesn't always like to use all of her gears, she likes to spit out her chain occasionally, and she's a bit small for my frame.  Anyway, with all of the downfalls, I'm glad to have her, or I wouldn't be able to have all of this fun!  Laughing  As you can see, I have to have a good sense of humor about "grandma" or I'd have thrown her to the curb a long time ago!  (shhhhh... don't tell her....Wink

Nice first challange ride Kam.  No worries about your Grandma, just ride the old girl like you mean it.   Oh sheesh, this is going to seem as twisted as T.I.T.S. and B.A.L.L.S. isn't it?

Oh yeah, got in 1 hr 15 min of T.I.T.S. tonight.

I've added a "Track your progress" box to all of the spreadsheets! You do NOT need to do anything. It will update automatically. (In other words, do not update it!)

It takes "today's date" from the computer, and calculates the percentage of the month that has passed so far. This will help you see if you're on track towards hitting your goal.

For example, today is Feb 3rd. So the month is 10% completed. All of this shows up in the "peach colored box" on your team spreadsheet.

Remove this from your log:

FEBRUARY BIKING CHALLENGE - TEAM WE HEART T.I.T.S.
http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid...

And replace it with this:

It's that really long link that's messing up your columns.
