Hi Team, I followed Roni here, because we are both Montana girls.
I was
forced encouraged to do my first triathlon last April. It was a team event, and I was to do the 1000 yd. swim. 4 people per lane. Here is a breakdown of my thoughts for that swim:
Laps 1 - 5 : "Ya know, I really don't think I can do this."
Laps 6 - 10: "What in the world am I doing here? What was I thinking. I'm going to drown; no really, I'll probably drown."
Laps 11 - 15: "I'm probably going to have to quit now. Uuuugh, when I get out of this pool I'm going to throw up."
Laps 16 - 18 "Hey, I miscounted, I'm actually at lap 20. I'm done! I did it!"
And I was hooked. I did two solos last fall. I am slated for a sprint next Saturday
(the aforementioned, only it will be solo.
