Oh, now listen here, son, I'll tell you the tale of TAN.

No one really knows how TAN started, or when it started. Some say it always was. Some say it was spawned by the unholy union of the Devil himself and some wood nymph. I'm here to tell ya, they're all wrong. I know the truth.

Way back, one day, two people were fishing in their boat. Good friends, they were. Well, one of those friends fell in the water. Saw something shiny, mostly buried in the mud. So he swam down to see what it was. It was a gold ring. He grabbed it, and there's been badness afoot in the lands ever since.

No matter what you believe, there aren't many of the old TANners around anymore these days. Some were chased off, some went insane. Some just grew old and bitter, not liking the turn TAN had taken.

In the end, TAN goes on.

Was there a quest to restore the TAN? say a fellowship of sorts?

Ahh, my first TAN was TAN 20 *tear in eye*. 

I made page 1 too!  I sound like such a noob.  It's like looking back at those awkward high school pics......

My trash can looks like.....  well, I don't know, like something bad exploded at a fast food convention.

I have a pringles can, two bags from Jack in the Box, Box from Taco Bell, several diet coke bottles, starbucks cup....

I need to improve.....

In my searches, I also found several "anti" TAN threads - or threads questioning it.

None have been started recently.  Either they have broken, or quietly accept the reality that nothing will kill TAN.

I'm also thinking of taking the girlfriend to Vegas since she has never been there..of course it would be the weekend of silverman and maybe I'll be recovered for a 1/2 Iron so we both get something out of the deal

That would be cool.  But just thinking.  I was not up for going out before the race (to be ready for it) and I was mess after.  Doing it up in Vegas after a long race could be rough.  You need LOTS of energy for this town.  However, the pools would be a GREAT location to recover.

it be a very laid back lay by the pool and watch the guys hit on my GF and since I"m too tired to pick up a chair to hit them it would work out very well
