As far as the run, I do typically carry endurolytes with me on the run and will take a couple every 2 or 3 aid stations. The coke has a surprisingly good level of sodium in it, and I love it as a little sweet treat late in the race day. I'm sure I'll be taking endurolytes on Sunday. Ah, there is some sodium in Coke - 33mg. Still, on endurance events many coaches and pro's advise ingesting 600-800mg per hour - also, granted, we will be racing in cooler weather... |
