Beautiful! You rock! I truly wish I could enjoy running in those conditions. I merely huddle inside and whine. Although, investing in gear would probably help. Oh, no, no 'gear' necessary. Anything over 40 degrees commands a tank top and shorts. Today I started in a long-sleeved tee, but after two miles I was peeling down. Now get out there and RUN! You have an important race coming up! |

I've struggled to get saddle time since October, but now I make myself go to noon-spin twice a week. Every time I go to the basement I see my sad roadie leaning in the corner. I can't wait to take her out for a ride! |

Plan on 4 to 5 full Tri's, 1 with canoe instead of swim and hopefully a HIM (or 1/2 Du) in October. Gonna be nice here in Jersey this weekend (snowing all day today!) and in the 50's so plan on hitting the pavement for the 1st time in a long time. Hey-my tentative last tri in 2009 is substituting a 3 mile kayak (or canoe) for the swim. I am excited. |

I am feeling really streched out. Long day at work, having to deal with step kid while hubbie is in Texas, trying not to whine to hubbie. etc, etc, etc, YOU know better than I. A nice glass of Pinot Noir is helping ease the stretch.. How about speed- demon you? |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan Okay, I am taking a break and putting up '15 things about me' 1. My name is Melissa 2. I am 27 3. I have Manic Depressive Disorder (bipolar), ADHD and OCD. There are many suprising benefits from this...most of the time. I am energetic, creative, productive, and very eager about most things. 4. I am really determined and a bit hardheaded which means that I can do just about anything I decide I need to do. 5. I like working with my hands, using lots of elbow grease and getting dirty. 6. I am working on a Environmental Horticulture degree. It provides opportunities to do aforementioned activities 7. I started swimming when I was two years old. I have life-guarded, coached swim teams and taught swim lessons. I know 'how' to swim, but that doesn't make me very fast. All my swimsuits are 10+ years old. I wear them in multiples because they are so thin. 8. I have a lame restrictive diet...the two biggest factors is that I am gluten and dairy intolerant 9. I eat 2 eggs and a baked potato almost every morning for breakfast-this is supplemented with other foods too. 10. I am a triathlete and loving it! 2009 will be my second season. 11. I spend a lot of time at my parents place-my little sister and dad are both very disabled and my mom needs all the help she can get. This doesn't make me an angel...I get paid by the state and have health benefits. 12. I received my bike as a gift when I was 13 (I think). It is a beat up mountain bike that I have managed to make functional again. Unfortunately my mom's bike isn't(I cannibalized it). 13. I like lists. 14. I am very talkative. In the morning (when my medications kick in) it is hard to shut me up. Despite this, I am generally a good listener. 15. I am spontaneous. |
