It would be a tribute to our captain Dee and honor Erica's request too.

Hey team, I'm Chad.  I'm a nurse and I work ONLY weekend nights, so I can stay home during the week with my 1 yo son while Mrs Chad works.

Anyhow, Dee isn't unpacked yet because despite living only a handful of minutes from me, she still hasn't asked me to help her unpack.  I have also been zapped with a taser in RL, and I'm not scared of Dee and her cattle prod.

KOM - 2009-09-27 4:00 PM While drinking Cosmos and posting on the December 08 Vixen thread I committed to running my first half marathon- it was definitely the vodka talking but I did it any way.  I am planning to run that half again in late February and want to train well.  I hope to lower my time and avoid the ITB issue that cropped up last year at the 10 mile mark.

And I too got roped into that half marathon but instead of the vodka talking, it was wine.  Red, red wine.  How I love thee.

So you like the 310?? I am thinking of getting it, have never had a Garmin, and  worry that it is too big to fit on my wrist!

If only this came out back when I was contemplating what to get...isn't this the one you can swim with?  Anyway Kathy, I was scared to death about that also.  After getting the 305 I really doubted my decision 'cuz it bothered me soooo much when I ran.  However, thanks to the wonderful input of folks here I invested in the quick release velcro strap and never, ever have any issues.  Mind you, this is coming from someone who cannot wear a watch because it bothers me and my wussy girl wrists!!

Soooo, I figured up my goal for the month and it looks like it will be 105 miles ~ at least that's what the plan says I have to do!   Aaaand this will leave me hanging exactly 1 week and 1 day to go for my half marathon.  I gotta say that I'm pretty excited about it but then I'll have three months to play with and decide if I'm going to do a HIM next year!!!  Can you say "desperately seeking swim skills?!"

Sounds like a great gig for everyone.  So what is the story behind the taser????

Here guys, have a nice little drinky. Let's see if we can get you to commit to a full marathon this time around.

Hey everyone!  Page 4 already -- I'm impressed!  Just got back last night from a quick weekend in Naples (Florida).  Spent nearly 20 hours in the car and I'm exhausted...

Anyway, I'm Cheri, and I guess I'm a challengeaholic too.  I'm so glad this is a run challenge though.  I'm doing a half marathon on Nov 21st, and my training hasn't gone so great lately.  But here's to a great October!

Anyone racing this weekend?  I'm doing a 5K.

I'm in for the full 26.2 next year but not in February!  I'm thinking more like November.

Felt pretty good for the first half of my run yesterday, then the wheels fell off. But I still think it's a go for my half marathon on Saturday. We'll see how the rest of the week pans out...

Yeah the 310 is the one you can swim with, the GPS is not supposed to work while you swim but at least you can time your swim and not bother to put the watch on in T1
