Expert 932 Madison | Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 1 tinalouise - But I am excited about getting started again-- I'm starting off a bit slower-- just focusing on the bike and nutrition (thus the weightloss goal)-- plus I live in Wisconsin and the thought of running in 25 degree weather just doesn't appeal to me quite yet... As far as a name goes, I'm up to whatever... Good luck everyone! Hi Tina - I am in your neck of the woods in Fitchburg - I know what you mean about getting outside to run BRRRRR! I swam this morning and ran a short 3.1 miles. Recovering from an injury, so that's good for me! I still need to get those goals posted. Ugghh! Sorry team. I'm on it! |

I am not so sure about this bike thing. It's on an exercise bike at the Y - has aero bars. There is little to no resistance in it - I am hoping the mileage is right. I just pump like hell and go. I could never do the same time/distance on my mtn bike. Not even if it was all downhill. I have to stay on top of this - I don't want to be the slacker only doing 93% of his/her goal. I have to amend my signature at some point since I was on a losing team in November. |

I have to amend my signature at some point since I was on a losing team in November. Is it a spin class style bike or an exercise machine type bike? I haven't ever seen a bike with no way to increase resistance unless it is broken... Find out the brand name or ask someone at the Y for assistance - unless you are just working on increasing cadence |

BAH! and i improvise aero bars on our spin bikes, even still, they provide an UBER good workout. im w ANDY maybe you can ask someone there if theres a way to increase your resistance. low cadence, high resistance. low resistance, high cadence. either way, you'll get a good workout! they both have their benefits. HAPPY CYCLING! stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2009-12-02 5:09 PM |

Expert 977 Huntington Beach | Subject: RE: Vixens Revisited - Du-December Challenge Hi everyone! I am new to your team. Last month was my first time on a challenge team. Sorry to say that I did not hit my goal. However that is NOT going to happen this time...I hate being a loser! My goal is to bike and run. I got my first trainer session session done tonight...I hate that thing! BTW-I am a jr. high teacher, wife, and mother of two (14 & 12). I completed my first two sprint tris this year and looking forward to the new season. Ann-Marie |
