I was also now told a June announce, but if the race is a year from oct, they have all the time in the world to announce. If I hear anything firm I will let you know. |

Elite 2998 Fishers, Indiana | Subject: RE: New IM Woodlands I personally think Oct is BAD timing...definitely can't draw a good pro crowd as all the good ones will be at a "little" race in Hawaii. Temps wise, I think April and May are likely to be less hot than Oct, unless it's late OCT, but then it's just so close to IMFL/IMAZ/IMCOZ...and there's that whole "hurricane" season thing.... My hopes are fizzling, and looks like I'll be signing up for IMCdA '11 here soon for an "early" IM and I'm going to most likely be doing IMAZ with a non-prof team I'm working with.... *sigh* |

December, January and February are the only months that I want to do an IM in Texas. Is it just me or is it hard to get excited about racing an Ironman in the Woodlands?

I'm torn on how I feel about the timing, I'd personally prefer not to have to train on the bike in the winter. But like Brittany said, the fall IM season is pretty full already. |
