I'd like to join this group also. I have a half marathon in Sept.  Since starting running in 1998 I've been in the 140 - 150 range for every race.  In my 20s I weighed 120 - 125... I'd like to get in the 120s again to see what I can do athletically.  I believe my weight is my biggest limiter in all 3 sports.

My weight yesterday was 147 so I'm looking at 20 lbs in 3 months.. should be doable.  I just need some support to get there.
Thanks.

portaledge - 2010-06-16 4:37 PM I want in too! I am 6'4" , 220, 21% body fat. This season I have one more Oly, a 1/2 marathon, 4 5k's, 1 10k, and a HIM all before October... so the lighter the better. I want to be in the 210 range by August, and near 205 before my HIM. I need to get away from chicken wings. Don't eat out or processed food very much, and I am trying to eat healthy, but quantity and the occassional binge don't help. And don't get me started on beer.....

By all means!  Join the fun!

Shermbelle - 2010-06-15 8:13 PM I want in on this one if I still can.

I am doing IMWI in September and only starting back training about 3 weeks ago. I know I have a mountain to climb but I'll get there.

After taking basically the last year with minimal training and suffering through IMKY last August, I need to get rid of this set of tires around my waste and make the hills in WIsconsin a little more bearable.

I am at 223 now and would like to see single digit 200's or in a dream world sub 200 come Sept. 12. Push me hard Please!!!

Thanks Mike

Where is the WIIM held? I can't make it this year as my vacation back home to WI is next week, but, I can plan it out for next year, I think.

For me it's about portion sizes and then to just do something at least once a day. I have ran once in the last 2 weeks due to (Planter facitis spelling?). It is feeling better but I don't want to test it out on a run/jog yet. I did play softball last night and it didn't bother me to bad. Thinking I will wait till I am home from VACA.

Good luck to all

This weekend is going to be tough for me workout wise as I'll have both grandchildren for the weekend and I find it hard to get out to do anything when they are here (age 6 months and 18 months). We are going to a family picnic on Sunday so I'll do lots of playing and running around with the kids.  Will try to keep the diet clean and will be back Monday for weigh in .
Everyone have a great weekend.

So are you the grandparent that gives the grandkids carrot sticks and celery or are you the "good" one?

We're both !  We are the lonly grandparents these girls have.  I give her fruit and veggies, grandpa gives her chips and candy.  Luckily she likes healthy food as well as the 'treats', at least so far.

Gotta weigh in tonight, grad school and training is sure time consuming. The 2 year old takes up the rest, totally worth it though. I am trying to incorporate my lab on the runs but she is a nightmare to run with. Anyone seen up? or Marley and me? that is my dog, totally sidetracked.

Hi all!  I missed the weigh in- I've been in CA visiting family and having a little memorial for my grandmother. This consisted mainly of eating and driving.  I'm redoubling my efforts this week- I did try to get some workouts in (including a killer trail run 4 miles, 1100ft elevation gain/loss- now I have sore ankles!), but it wasn't pretty.

Ate really well yesterday.  I'm in the middle  of a 5 day work week (three 12 hour days then two 12 hour nights.. today is day 3) so training is suffering.  Hope to get out on the bike tomorrow but that will probably be it until Sunday.  I do have my swim stuff in my car and did go to bed early last night and got a full 8 hours sleep so maybe I'll be able to go to the pool tonight after work for a short swim.

Hope everyone's week is going well .. keep eating healthy and working out and we'll all meet our goals.

Down to 216, so making good progress. Sustainable progress? We will see! For me, fish is the key! Eating it twice a week, good breakfast and shakes for lunch, or a light sandwich + yogurt. Even if I could get to 215 by next week, I would be psyched! Congrats to everyone on the hard work and keep it up!
