Good job everyone!

I got my ride/run in today. Watched the tour - I'm bummed that Lance is totally out of GC contention. Looks like all those years of no crashes and no equipment failures have caught up to him. Yay Andy for that last sprint up the hill. My quads burned just watching him!

Got my Saturday ride in but my wife wasn't feeling well so I did it solo on a new route. I wasn't able to leave until 1:30 and it was HOT about 95*. I stopped and got something to drink about half way through and the bike was sitting in the sun when i got back on the computer said 118* but it cooled back down. the new route has two hills 256 ft climb in 1.7 miles and 404 ft in 4.2 miles. They're not to steep but they weren't very enjoyable in the heat.

Good job on your ride/run!

FYI...lets agree to keep any TdF updates off this thread until 24 hours has passed.  In this case...it's all good...because I already watched the stage...but just a heads up for future reference.  The TdF is on between 2am-6am locally for me...so I usually don't get to watch it on my DVR until after I get home from work which is about 6 hours before the next stage starts.

As for Lance...yeah...that was a bummer.  But part of me thought that he wouldn't podium anyway...even if he didn't have problems yesterday or on the cobbles.  I think this might be a great opportunity for Lance to send himself off as a team player though.  If he rides hard and gets Levi onto the podium...it would speak volumes to his ability to not only be a great champion...but also a great teammate.  The whole situation with him and Contador last year on the Astana team kind of made Lance look like he was simply out for himself...when really he was a good teammate...until the situation presented itself that no other challengers would arise.

Yes Please do not make any comment about a stage for a 24h period !

I got my 2 stages in this weekend, but after Sundays HIM my legs are still completely wasted so I will just have an easy week, but I am still on track and should make the challenge

Ack! Sorry guys!!!!!  I forget most people aren't insane like me. We watch the start of the stage on the DVR before leaving for work, and I read the highlights/commentaries/commentaries on the commentaries/next stage predictions on Velo News and Pez then we watch the actual Tour in the evening with dinner and FF through the really boring parts and all commercials. My friend at work gets up early to watch, so he and I have been talking all day about it. I'm a freak.   I'll watch the 24hrs.

I'm falling behind on my stages/mileage.

But not because of lack of effort.  I just recently have been able to start swimming again (shoulder injury), so I'm substituting some time on the saddle for some time in the water.

I also am putting a tri I signed up for (signed up and paid for before the shoulder injury) back on the schedule (July 26th)...so I'll miss a couple of long rides I had planned that weekend.

I should still get in 14 stages and 500+ miles though.

I wish we could help out. I know I could add some extra rides. I just figured the basics for my goal. I'm not sure how they calculate the final results of the challenge.

I think it is great that you are able to swim again Not being able to swim sucks as the form goes away very fast (at leased for me)

Just don't over do it ! You don't want the injury to come back

Another stage on the spreadsheet!

Hope everyone enjoys/enjoyed today's stage. Can't wait 'til tomorrow. I'll have to see if my co-worker gets up at 4:30am to watch. He really likes the mountain stages. I like my sleep - and my dvr.

Well I got a stage in on Saturday but it was shorter then i had planned so I'm going to have to do some longer stages then I had planned on Tuesday & Thursday. I have a race on Saturday with a 13 mile off road ride and I'm not sure how long it will take so we'll see where that leaves me for minutes.

Work got really busy last week, so I didn't get in much riding (or workouts in general) last week.  Got in a great 90 minute today, and some riding yesterday, so I am still doing fine.  Looks like everyone else is still on track as well, keep up the good work!

Hmmm. Looks like we could use a good leadout guy to pick up our pace.   I hear Mark Renshaw is free... Heh!

I still have time to make my goal. I am now very glad I was realistic and left room for randomness. I just spent yesterday and today "enjoying" some food poisoning and the after-effects. Blah! I'll be able to ride again by Thursday I think, and I'll make my 100% by Sunday.  Not sure if my race on the 31st is screwed though.

I broke my mountain bike on Saturday so I have to find time to get on the roadie this week.
