Modesto, California | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! ingleshteechur - 2010-10-08 7:00 AM This morning I opted to sleep in. I have the day off because we have a cross country meet today and I have to drive my team four hours one way and I also happen to have narcolepsy. In the grand scheme of things I decided it would be better for me to be well rested before I drive other people's children across Nevada! I'll double up on my meds too. I figure I'll still be so wired by the time we get home tonight I'll need to do Insanity to burn off the edge from the meds! Have a great Friday! Good call, have fun and safe trip, Ill be doing my thing too this weekend biking and driving. Rock n Roll races are a blast and from what I have seen recently there will be some big names there. My mother teaches English in Las Vegas for one of the local High Schools out there, I dont know which one. Tonights workout is Power and Resistance. |

Now, back to business! 4:15am-Cardio Plyometrics I'll probably do another round tonight to make up for the two I didn't do Friday morning or Saturday morning. Then I'll make up the other one on Thursday when I'm supposed to do recovery. I just hate it when I can't cross them all off my calendar! Tomorrow morning I'll also start adding in my run workouts for the Dec. 5 half marathon! Busy mornings ahead! |

I too will be adding cycling into my workouts soon as I start to ramp up for my training program, for October it will be based on my energy levels, I'm not sure how to structure November yet because cycling will be my priority. |

Love how it's recovery but I still sweat my butt off! Awesome! My last workout felt great, Im doing my workouts on carpet on a 6'x5' area, Im anxious to see if Im going to rub a whole in my carpet from all the running in place. Or I might do Max Interval Sports/Insane Abs. |

Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Good morning! Well, major fail on doing a second workout last night. Too much grading to get caught up on. I planted myself on the couch and graded essays for a couple of hours. I would have rather done Insanity! ha! This morning: Plyo Cardio Circuit again + 1st run workout. Felt great! |

Modesto, California | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Good Job! I struggled last night, it was going good up until the Insane Ab workout, what was I thinking? Cardio Curciuit tonight, also I will be tweaking my diet again. I logged my food for yesterday and Im getting in way too many carbs and not enough protien, it was 60/30/10. Adding one protien drink and changing my dinner a little will bring it to 40/40/20 where its supposed to be. Week three and I have to say Im really enjoying the workouts, I cant wait for the Max workouts. How is it after recovery week? Im suprised you and I are still the only ones in this group! |

Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! I really should start logging my food too. It's good information but I get a little pissy about it, like I log everything else, now food too?! But, when I have it's been so helpful keeping the percentages correct. I try to eat the same ratios that you do. I guess we're the only ones INSANE (weak pun intended!) enough to do Insanity. Ummm, the max workouts are hard. Really hard. I don't like the warm ups as much as I like the warmups right now. The workouts definitely ramp up the intensity though! November is going to suck with those workouts plus my running workouts...and your bike workouts. I really do want to finish the program though. |

I want to finish too, I wasnt planning on logging but I just wanted to see how my food calculated, I did it and erased it but will put it up to show you. I think insanity looks harder than it is, maybe that turns some people off if they think they will get injured, not sure. |

Modesto, California | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Done, I put a hurt on my sweat glands! I meant to ask about the Max workouts, do they all have abwork at the end? Monday I skipped the end of the Max workout and skipped the first part of the Insane abs to get to the abwork, the way they played they are two seperate workouts it seems, I have not done the regular abs workout, is that a regular workout too? Also do they all skip stretching like Max sports did? I like stretching! |

Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! You know, I can't remember if the Max workouts all have ab work? I can't remember about the stretching, either...although I am sure there is. I've not done the sports DVD. I've done the full Insane Abs (it's like 30 minutes) and the next morning my back was soooo sore. I prefer the Cardio Abs that goes along with Pure Cardio, speaking of which: Pure Cardio |

You will soon develop a love/hate relationsip with Insanity! It is so so hard, but such a great workout. I did pretty poorly on the fit test as well, but by the end of the whole program I couldn't believe how much strength/fitness I gained. This is my 2nd time through. Well, started once, got through the first half, then the holidays hit. I restarted in January and actually completed the whole thing. I love it! I'm happy to be doing it again. Welcome and please post your comments on the workouts! Misery loves company! |

As Shaun T. says: you can fricken' do it! And just a fair warning, don't let the word 'recovery' in the recovery workout fool ya..it's hard too! |

Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! Morning fellas! My legs were so tired this morning. I ended up doing the whole hill repeat workout with my cross country kids yesterday afternoon (after already doing Insanity + 3 mile run). Today I did Cardio Power and Resistance and was supposed to do 2X2 mile repeats, but I went for a walk instead! Tomorrow morning I'm going to do my 2X2 repeats first and then do Insanity, I'll see how that goes! I am committed! (or I should BE committed! ) |

Modesto, California | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! After an aweful day in back pain I considered bailing on my workout, I pulled something in my back from the previous workout or due to the weakened state the workout put me in. I couldnt do it, I enjoy the workouts too much so I did recovery, as Kim said its not fun either so I motored through it the best I could. It is getting better as of today but I need to nurse it for a few more days! |

I was more drained than I had been in a while while running, just didn't have the energy for the hills. I ended up picking it back up by the end of the run though. Good luck today! |

A good friend of mine attempted to start Insanity but it was just too hard on her back. She has a history of back problems, though. Take it easy--hopefully it is just a little tweak. |

Modesto, California | Subject: RE: Bring on the INSANITY! I did have a history of back problems up until I started working my core about ten years ago. I pulled a muscle I think doing the suicides, I'm not as sore today so I hope to keep the intensity up, Im going to try the regular ab workout and see how that goes. |

I didn't get as sore as I do starting a strength training routine, and the way the workouts are set up it seems like a gradual buildup, Im finishing up week three. |
