This week is the week 5 'recovery' week for me. I took an extra rest day (monday) as I was suffering the Baltimore Ravens' loss to the Steelers. Just couldn't face the world at 5:30 am on Monday.

Today I did the Cardio Abs and Balance, or whatever it's called, for the first time. Like all the other Insanity workouts I really liked it. The last 2 exercise sets looked so easy but really burned (balanced on 1 foot/knee above waist/extending the foot). Ouch.

I ran my 5k on Sat w/ my daughter - it was great. She ran with her friend and they did not stop and walk at all. I felt great myself. With almost zero training I managed to run a respectable time (for me) and I felt good. 4 weeks of Insanity seemed to have a positive impact!

So I've skipped Monday and Tuesday because my ankle was swollen from the tattoo I just got (which is normal for big leg tats) and it's finally back to normal, it wasn't hurting or anything just fluid, but I didn't want to risk anything. So should I start back up on my normal Wednesday (Plyometric Cardio) or start back at the days I missed?

I was thinking just start up on my Wednesday and maybe go an extra week at the end or something. I feel so lazy since I missed almost 4 days so far

2nd Core Cardio/Balance workout today.

Last night I woke up at 4 am with what I thought was a cramp in my upper hamstring/glute area, turned out my hip is really hurting, I almost skipped this morning. I'm wondering if those Hip Burners might have caused an injury in the hip joint. Managed to get through the workout ok, though, and it's just a dull ache now.

rdub- If I skipped 2 days I think I'd just pick up right where I left off and keep moving through the schedule. No harm taking an extra day or two rest.

Took yesterday completely off and did a marathon Christmas shopping day (some for me...new bike shoes!  A trainer tire!  Last year at this time I wouldn't even have known about trainer tires!)

Back at it again today with the wrestlers. They're animals!  I brought both a 40 min workout and a 60 min workout...we'll see which one they'll want to do!

My hardcore wrestlers wanted to do the 60 minute workout of course!  Felt great.  This morning I did a 30 minute run and then Pure Cardio.  Pot luck at work today...wanted to get the furnace burning early!!!!

Ok peeps - let's get back into it!

I finished week 5 recovery week yesterday (switched day off for saturday). Today was to be the first day of the Max workouts, but didn't get up early enough to squeeze it in before work. So, either tonight, or we get an extra rest day before getting into the Max workouts.

Who else out there is still in with the program? It's pre-holiday, best time to keep on working!!!

I'm still in...just doing which ever workout I want to though!  My eating is starting to take a nose dive- so many dinners out lately, parties, etc.  so I figure as long as I keep up with my running/Insanity workouts I should keep the damage to a minimum.  Heck, if I can still wear all my pants on Jan. 1 it will be considered a success!  Too many holiday seasons have come and gone where I've eaten/not exercised myself right out of clothes!  Not this year!!!

ETA: This morning was 30 minutes run & Cardio Plyo Circuit.

Well I've fallen off the wagon of Insanity with my tattoo recovery (yes i know it sounds silly but a tattoo that size takes a while to heal and hinders my range of motion) I would like to pick it up again, but I've just found a triathlon training group that is starting up this month and I think I'll be joining them. So when days are crummy and I don't want to bear the cold or anything I'll pop in some sean t but for now I'm dropping the routine and starting up early tri training.

I'm just checkin' in in case anybody still is out there.

Still going strong in Week 7 (2nd week of level 2 Max workouts).

Hope the rest of you are still going strong, or on to bigger & better things!

I'm still hanging in there, I just don't get online that often.  I am just starting week 6, day two...and I'm loving it! There for a while I just wasn't getting that sore anymore, but I'm feeling a new kinda burn today! Going to have to eat right during these next few weeks for sure, just to fuel myself through these workouts.  I was running short distances 6-7 times a week while I did the first insanity dvds, but since these are longer I won't be able to wake up that early to squeeze in any runs but surely I'll get some done in the evenings.   I am beginning to see a difference in my physical appearance thanks to sean T but I get compliments of "beaming" or "glowing" (and no I'm not preggo lol) I feel like there is definately and inner glow that comes from pushing one's self physically! hooray for the insanity body, mind and soul!!

Hi all!  I'm still rolling with Insanity...in fact for the last four days I've been doing two-a-day workouts with my runners turned wrestlers and basketball players.  They haven't had practices during break and wanted to stay in condition so we've been doing a Max Insanity workout in the morning and then a shorter Insanity in the evening!  Plus, I needed to burn off a week's worth of vacation eating!  Ha!  Taking the next two days off due to travel, back to Insanity Friday morning and then Saturday I start my HIM training!  I'm thinking of at least trying to fit in two Insanity workouts a week on the days I have shorter runs.  My body misses the workouts when I don't do them!

Hey Kim! Good to see someone is still on here with me I am almost done with week 2 of month 2. these max workouts are killing me but I LOVE IT.  Since they are longer I am not finding time to run the last 2 weeks and this morning I made the time and the stinking wind was howling outside, so I ditched that I am getting to the pool again and working on my swim 4 days a week, so technically I'm doing the 2 a days.

I'm still around, holidays threw a pause into the workout schedule and my left shoulder (rotator) is really hurting so I've taken a few days off. Plan to get back into it, restarting the calendar on the beginning of week 8 after this weekend. Planning to do a week of recovery after completing the entire program, then perhaps starting again from the beginning.

Sorry to hear about the rotator cuff issues, I had some not to long ago, I think from bad swim form ? but I don't know if that is it. I am almost finished with week 2 of month 2! I feel amazing! Happy new year!
