It's good to be back and happy to be in a challenge with you two and the rest of the awesome people here too. My month is off to a bad start though. Took my husband to the emergency room last night and he has a blockage in his small intestine looks like we'll be hanging out at the hospital for awhile Oh my! Keep us updated. |

Tiffanator - 2010-12-02 6:59 AM I signed up, this is my first time signing up for a challenge so I hope I filled it out correctly. Winter months are always hard for me because I hate the cold and love holiday eating. Trying to break that habit this year! Welcome to the challenge! |

Would Aqua Aerobics be considered a "Swim" session? Not that I'm cheating or anything, just curious. I have to get my swim on this month anyway for my tri team.. Curious Lynne, what kind of yardage are y'all planning on for the USAT Challenge? We've set a goal of 8K for everyone (of course we've got others that are shooting for 36K +) Just trying to check out our club competition LOL!!!
Just re-read the email I got. Seems there is no set limit for each individual member, I guess we all just have to haul butt. I will be swimming TONS anyway. I seem to have completely lost my swim mojo... Here's an idea for y'all... we set a minimum of yardage's to qualify for a raffle from one of our club sponsors - to help motivate everyone to get going. As well, we've set Sat am at a specific pool aside for everyone to meet for a group workout. We'll do the same thing in January for the bike and February for the run. It's kind of cool b/c otherwise our group workouts have died since the cold and snow came GOOD LUCK!!! |

Got my push ups and sit ups in this morning. Did them during a conference call this morning before I left for work. Not sure if I will get home early enough to hit the pool. We'll see how it goes. I may have to go for a run instead. |

I'm in. I'm going to need something to help me stay focused in December and I can't slack off if I'm going to do that marathon in the spring. Hey Paul! Long time no "see." I kind of dropped off the grid after my move but now i'm back!! Well howdy Michelle. It's good to have you back. Hope things are going well and that you have some fun plans for the holidays. Thanks! The move was hectic but i'm finally starting to actually feel like this is home. This will be the first time i've lived near family (albeit in laws) let alone get to spend holidays with them so it's pretty exciting. What about you...any plans? We haven't worked out any details yet. I have a four day weekend for Christmas and we just aren't going to know what to do with ourselves. We're missing the family party with my side of the family since we're going to visit our son that weekend. The in-laws decided to skip the family party this year. |

Let's make it clear that *I* am not a FRUITCAKE LADY WITH A TASER. Yes, I have a taser. Yes, I named the challenge. But I am not THAT FRUITCAKE LADY! Um. Although, who knows.... Maybe I am..... Hm.... Hold on -- let me get my tasers. We'll settle this once and for all. |

Ok, ok I know it's hard to believe that I can say it gets "cold" in Hawaii but come on...throw me a bone here...when you're used to hot, perfect summers and it actually falls to 60 degrees (sometimes colder) it really does feel cold. I know how pathetic that sounds but really... Does it help (and earn me some points back) if I add that I now live in a friggen cold rainforest?! |

Master 1632 Almost Canada, WA | Subject: RE: December "Don't be a Fruitcake" Challenge! I gotta tell you all...I sooo am not a yoga person. I've tried it several times and just can't figure out what all they hype is about. However, my daughter picked out a YogaKids vidoe from the library that does the poses based on the alphabet. She asked me the other day to do it with her to which I gladly obliged. I must say, it was actually pretty fun. Granted we are doing poses based on what an alligator looks like but it got me thinking that I might be able to grow to like this stuff |

It's just not my thing. But my kids were always playing with the exercise ball that I sometimes use for crunches so my mom got the kids this Yoga video because it came with their own ball. Talk about FRUITCAKES! I can't even look at the woman in this video without laughing the whole time. It makes it hard to do the poses with my kids... But at least we are having fun exercising together, right? |

And a rainforest doesn't necessarily sound cold either. To me it says "rain" which might be cool but unless there's snow its not cold. Are you on the Seattle side of WA or Spokane side? The Spokane side definitely gets cold. |

And as far as fruitcakes goes. it got us exercising this month. |
