bodhi_girl - 2011-03-02 9:57 AM Hi - long time lurker first-time challenge-joiner ...

I'm getting back into triathlons this year after two years lost due to injury (2009 bad Achilles, 2010 decimated shoulder) ... so could use all the support possible. ;-)

My goals for March:
1) meet each scheduled workout, and 50% of my optional workouts
2) have only 2 cheat meals per calendar week
3) do yoga - a full practice - once per calendar week
4) send out 10 resumes and 2 class proposals for my part-time gig

Welcome Trina-Rae - do you use your full name or Trina or TR?
Good to have you in the challenge!

After 35 years of people getting it wrong - I answer to just about anything. Undecided

But TR is just fine. Easiest to type, too.

ETA: the blue shoes are tres cool!

I can imagine - I have one of the simplest names going and you wouldn't believe how often people manage to get mine wrong! No one on here though

hehe, I'm usually "help me rhonda...  help, help me rhonda"...  Or I also went to school with a Rhona.

I've just become accustomed to answering to any name that starts with an R, ends in an A and usually has an N in the middle somewhere.   Wink

Soooooooooooo true! I have answered to recently (and with no hard feelings) Trisha, Trina, Tina, Tara, Tina-Faye, Tina-Rae, Trina-Marie, Tara-Fee, Tanya, Tammy ...

If it starts with a "T" and ends in a vowel - I'll answer to it. Undecided

Y'all should try the permutations I get with "Arsiyanti" ... but then again it's an unusual name even here.

TR!!!!!! THE TR??? The one and only? There can't be two of you!!!

No, he didn't gove me the ball today....in the past he's given me a core ball to do tricks with  (heehee, sounds kinky  Tongue out)
today was 10 sets of 20 curls on the bench
then squats with a kettle bell 15 sed front raise to squat w/ row then a clean & jerk with the KB all 15 seconds do one arm then the other....

THEN back to the ab bench for another eleventy billion (ok 10 sets of 20) crunches

Ooops! What I meant to say is - when it comes to crunches, I am pretty sure that 10 sets of 20 does equal eleventy billion.

I know this isn't challenge related but its rant time.
I was assigned a new project Feb 18. Today they were finally supposed to have me set up to access the stuff I need to do the work. So I start the program and it asks for my ID and password. I key it in and it tells me my ID is invalid. Are you kidding? So I break out the instructions and it starts with some completely different program. Wait... I don't have that program. Deadline approaching March 12 and I haven't even been able to start yet. This is ridiculous.
OK. Rant over.  Back to the regular program.

I conquered the rock climbing route that I couldn't get to the top of 2 weeks ago!!  It was so much fun... I'm really glad I'm taking this class, it's giving me a lot more confidence in my physical abilities.

I wish I were back in school taking classes like that. I don't think they had climbing classes. All I ever did was mtn biking in Moab and Park City, skiing, snowshoeing and stuff like that. I thought about a white water rafting class but went for something else instead.

Oh .. and doing a sprint triathlon counts as 3 workouts ( 1 for each specific sport)

Very cool to stretch your training in other ways.  THe strength and core work that must require will translate into tri training in ways you may not be able to measure but I think it will.
plus it just sounds fun and I am terrified of heights!!

I LOVE climbing! I currently  have a route that I can't quite master - get stuck about 3/4 up the wall ... sigh ... it's such a good feeling when you do get it though! Congrats!

I have been fighting to get up 1 since I started 5 sessions ago. Every week I get a little further up! I think it will be mine in the next few sessions. Last session I found another one of similar difficulty but a different layout and I am fighting it now too. Again, a few more sessions.

So much fun!

Being afraid of heights is okay, just don't look down. My husband (and climbing parter) is afraid of heights and he can do it. Worst case scenerio, stick to the shorter walls.

Had a pretty good swim today.

breast stroke drill of 3 kicks per stroke is brutal.

Then again, I really hate swim drills but deep down know they are good for me.
