Heck we're still expecting some snow, yuck! It's always OK to join a challenge. Snow? Snow.... I am not a fan of the stuff. LOL We got 5 cm overnight, it's still quite literally storming outside, and we are still under a winter storm warning. On an aside, I have a friend racing today. No word yet as to whether or not they cancelled the race. I've raced in nasty, stormy, but rainy weather... can't imagine getting out there in snow! Being from Bufffalo, NY I know snow shouldn't bother me. I think I've just had enough! Happy to report SUN here today and maye 50 degrees!! I would rather race in the snow than the rain. Rain goes straight through and you get wet and cold right away. With snow, you can stay dry and is easier to stay warm. She said the snow was so thick, it was jamming the gears on her bike. |

You just keep praying that the chain doesn't fall off because if it does, you're not getting it back on until all the snow if removed from the gears.pdbman - 2011-04-04 10:11 AM rnihill - 2011-04-03 7:09 AM I would rather race in the snow than the rain. Master 1623 | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge So my roommate's brother in law has called the office 3 times. left 3 messages and they won't call him back. This is ridiculous! They clearly don't want to deal with our break-in situation at all and it just seems like they are hiding from it now. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge So I just called the place I'm supposed to be able to swim at for free and of course there's restrictions: M-F 12-3:30. I can only go on Fridays so I'm changing my swim goal to trying 3 new classes at the gym. I've always wanted to try some and it's something new to try, broaden my fitness horizons so to speak. I'm looking up one for this week right now. |

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=246895 Congrats Emma!!! It always feels good to beat a previous time on a course that you have done before. That's why I tend to do the same races over and over and over! |

When I went to the pool yesterday it was closed for maintenence though... I'll check again today. Suckage. But let us know how the water running goes! I will keep you posted! I went down again today and still maintenance... Hopefully just short term. |

No races for me either this month. May 1st is the next. My Mum is staying with me for a few weeks and after a hard March with a tri and 2 fights I wanted an easier month comp wise - still training hard though |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge Theoretically (according to my "plan") tomorrow should be a swim day. I think the incision area is now healed enough but not sure the wrist could handle it yet. As antsy as I am I don't think I should test it out before dawn on a work day. Not that I've been cleared by the doc either... But since I didn't ask about swimming she technically didn't say NO either... Still probably safer to wait until the weekend when I'm trying to escape the MIL. |

I'm still riding stationary/spin bikes/my bike popped up on the trainer, as there is still several inches of snow/ice on the roads ... cannot wait to get outside! I have a wee tri coming up May 15 (only a 9K bike and 2.5K run, one of those try-a-tri dealios, I promised a newbie friend I'd do it with her) and I'm starting to get anxious about no actual road-time training ... have an Oly mid-June ... they're predicting more snow for today/tonight ... |
