Extreme Veteran 1260 Miami | Subject: RE: The Heat is on Its Only Money - 2011-05-12 7:27 AM I've heard it before and the more I have watched, I think the Bulls are very similar to the Cavs teams from the past few years. The Heat will be able to focus on Rose, and if no one steps up for the Bulls they don't have a chance. Do the people of Miami really think it is a Big 3. Bosh might as well be any power forward in the league. He just got lucky in that he was a free agent at the right time. I don't think he will be around for the whole ride. Well, it is obvious that LBJ and Wade are a level above bosh, actually they are a level above most good players in the league, but i wouldn't call Bosh any power forward. He fits very well with this team, we already got a defensive guy in anthony so bosh can play his game, i actually think that in the regular season he was one of the most important players for the team and if they involve him and he has a good game, the heat is pretty hard to beat. |

Master 1795 Boynton Beach, FL | Subject: RE: The Heat is on Bosh was key in shutting down Garnett, that is equal to scoring 25 in my book. He is in different role now and accepts it. The Heat need strong support and they got it last night with clutch shots. I just dont know how you defend against what Heat brings. Celtics did pretty well in that area IMHO, but wasn't enough. Unless another team figures out what other have not been able to do, it will be tough road. Agree with other comment of shut down Rose and you force others to step up which hasn't always happened. Boozer and Noah can be better defenders, but good luck on offense. |

Veteran 478 Chicago Area | Subject: RE: The Heat is on The Bulls still have to get through an Atlanta team that is playing great right now so I don't want to get ahead of myself. But I think you guys are underestimating the Bulls. The only person on the Heat that has a chance of slowing down Rose is Wade and if Wade is on Rose that will certainly take a toll on him on the offensive end and good possibly put him in foul trouble. If you double up on Rose, Boozer/Deng/Gibson can all score. And we have a some pretty good 3 pt shooters with Korver and Bogan. (although right now Korver couldn't hit water if he fell out of boat) Finally... I'll take Noah over Bosh anyday of the week. I will never have any respect for that guy after the way he played in Toronto last year. I was thrilled he didn't come to Chicago. |

Actually, i dont hink Atlanta is playing great, it is more of the Bulls playing down to their level. In regards to Wade playing defense on Rose that is fine, Wade just chased Allen all over the court, and even of Rose is a much faster and better player than Allen, he doesnt run nearly as much as he does. Wade has the luxury of managing is energy expenditure, because he has LBJ to share the load and both him and bosh can create their own shot. Rose has to create is own shot and make it happen for others. Noah is a good player, but he can't score on his own unless he is putting back an offensive rebound. In regards to Boozer, he has scored in the past, but he hasnt done much of that in the playoffs and he hasnt played a decent defensive team yet. Not many people would take Noah over Bosh.....but that is an entirely different conversation. I may be mistaken, but Atlanta would worry me more than Chicago, with homecourt advantage and all.....We shall see, the best team will win. |

Veteran 478 Chicago Area | Subject: RE: The Heat is on Atlanta is playing really well, if Smith could continue to play with a high intesity and Johnson learn to not take over the games, I think they could be even better. The Bulls have played pretty bad at times, Boozer not playing his best offense, and Korver shooting horribly does hurt. I don't really think you can compare guarding Rose with guarding Allen. With Wade on Allen he just had to follow him run around the court without the ball. Rose has the ball in his hand at the top of the key everytime. And when he drives he goes hard with an unbeleivable burst of speed. The two are very different. Although Rose is the by far the best player on the team, our super star. Each time down the court you have a number of guys that could score. Boozer, Deng, Bogan, Korver, Gibson and when they miss, Noah is there for the put back. Miami has the two best players on the floor (not by much:-) but I think Chicago has the better Team. Even Jordan and Scottie couldn't win until the role players were put in place. It will be a great series |

Extreme Veteran 1260 Miami | Subject: RE: The Heat is on I didnt compare it per say, they are two entirely different players. Rose is more explosive, faster, and attacks all the time, but between all those things he doesnt run half of what ray allen does. They can score but they haven't. You can not count with them to start doing something against one of the best defensive teams in the league that they havent done against pedestrian teams. The main problem that the Bulls are having now is that they played with a lot more intesity than other teams during the regular season, now in the playoffs thats not an edge anymore. I won't even get into the best players not by much part ....That can be talked about later....We will see at the end of the series who the best team is, assuming chicago finishes Atlanta. Looking forward to it and we shall talk more about it... |

Veteran 478 Chicago Area | Subject: RE: The Heat is on Actually other people besides Rose have scored, sure he has had the one 44 pt game, other than that he's around 30 and the other guys get the rest of the pts. And as for best defense, the Bulls defense was superior to the Heats all season long. Bulls had a better opp. pts, opp. %, RPG, SPG all better than Miami. But it all comes down to head to head in the playoffs. As a basketball fan this has been a phenomenal season and I'm enjoying all of the games. |

Pretty exiting, thats for sure, Boston went down swinging, they played a good game.. Do i have you on my side for the next round or going with Chicago who will probably win If the Heat is playing Chic a go,,,,, I will for sure NOT be rooting for da bulls! In the clutch moments of the last two games I thought Boston looked and played like a team that didn't deserve to win or thought the Heat was the better team, which they proved they were. I'll keep the Ownership I have in the Celtics and hope they make some good moves in the off season, the Celtics are always a gamer year in and year out. Go Heat!!! I can't honestly see anyone else at this point I'd rather see take it all,,,,,, even though you are rooting for them LOL Hahaha, welcome to the Heat side, glad to have you aboard even if it makes you feel uneasy ...If you are ever in the Miami area I will buy you a congratulatory drink... I don't see anyone else giving Miami trouble, Dallas perhaps in the final. Maybe i'm mistaken and i'm not as knowledgeable of basketball as much i think, but i think Chicago is very easy to beat. Shut down Rose and no else can score on their own, and miami has the athletes to do that. We may be in the Ft. Liquordale/Miami area for a month or two this winter, I'll take you up on that if make it, tks btw. I don't really follow the teams much anymore, I sort of start paying attention during the playoffs, have my likes and dislikes and cheer accordingly. Hope I have the Heat to cheer for during the finals, I like Florida so it looks like the Heat will be my team of choice in the playoffs, in spite of the fact they are your favorite. It looks like the Bulls and Dallas and I can only hope they beat the crap out of each other in a multi overtime 7 game series. If you make to Vegas, I'll return the hospitality and throw in some BBQ for good measure. |

I follow the heat during the regular season but not every single game, it is a very long season. My office is two blocks away from the AA Arena so i make it to quite a few games throught out the year, but generally speaking i start paying attention as the playoffs arrive. I used to follow all the local teams very closely, but the older i get the less seriously i take sports, a few years ago a Dolphins lost was enough to ruin my Sunday.......Yeah, dont hold it against the Heat that they are my team That sounds like a plan, i wil make sure to do that.... |

If Chicago wins one i see the series going 7 games, if miami holds serve and wins their home games, then it might be shorter than expected. Should be fun and looking forward to Sunday's game and being there in person.

Your going to be at the game? That is awesome! My big problem with the series is that we have to wait until Sunday, that's just too long. I think the Bulls will steal one in Miami (provided they keep Korver on the bench instead of guarding James), but so far the series has been what I imagined with the exception of the end of the 3rd quarter on Sunday night. |

It is, i have tickets from this point on to every game and the finals if they advance. It came handy that i had to negotiate a contract with a vendor recently and they have tickets to give away to their clients...Pure Luck I'm with you there, i hate having to wait so long in between games. That must be the NBA that has certain days that they know they get higher ratings and they dont want to deviate from that. I think for Chicago taking one game in Miami is absolutely necessary. It would be incredibly difficult if not impossible to come back down from 3 to 1. If Haslem can keep playing 25 min a night, Miami just got a whole lot tougher, he doesnt even have to score, just reboud and play D.

I think Lebron said it best after the game "Great team win" But the funnies comment of the night came from one of the announcers in the 3rd quarter. "Bosh just flopped like a European Soccer Player" It was a great game, I woke up today with no voice, had never seen that arena so loud. Not even back in 2006. Bulls played tough, hadn't seen this type of basketball in a while. They are certainly playing team basketball, something that was said that they couldnt and wouldnt do. I was wired when i got home and put the game on that i had Tivo, and when i heard that comment i started to laugh. Not based on that comment, but i dont think there is a single announcer or commentaror that would like to see the Heat win, they were rooting so hard for the Bulls to win that it was quite obvious. I dont know how many times they said that Rose was playing spectacular, and i dont think that would be the adjetive to use this series. If the Bulls dont come back they will facing a dilemma this off season. To trade some players to get another scorer by giving up young good defensive players, or take the risk and keep most of the same team which will continue to have a hard time scoring.... |
