  General entry does sell out. I'm pretty sure it sold out in March this year. However, I don't think foundation slots ever did sell out.

I'm not sure what it close by down there but I can make a few inquiries and let you know what I find out.

Ironman will post bib #s about 3 weeks before race day.

This will be my first IM. I live here in Louisville so I had the opportunity to ride most of the bike course this past year and had some good friends that participated in the IMTRI rides and they swore by them.  I fully intend on riding with the group as part of my training this year even though I can ride the course anytime.

The bike course is a bear in some places and not so bad in others. From the people I know who have done this race and ridden the course, the more hill work you do, the better off you'll be.  The run course is very flat.....but at the 1/2 way point you are just feet from the finish shoot when you have to turn around and do the loop again. Not so sure I like that kind of a teaser.

x2.  The iamtri group ride & run opportunities are very valuable!  Again, Bob (& his group) are very organized and the training days are well supported with aid stations and SAG support.

To those questioning current at Louisville...

I did it this year with a time of roughly 1:10 

2 weeks later I did rev3 CP full which had no current and included some running in water (beach start x2 due to loops) and I posted a 1:14.

Obviously I was trained identically and if anything I was a little worn down.

My point being, I don't think IMKY had much, if any, of a current that changed times - or at least mine.  Both I considered to be "good, but not great" swims for me.

Well I am officially in. I was selected to do the Norseman Xtreme race however when I started to do the math on how much it was going to cost me, it would have ended up costing a bit more than 20 Ironman Louisville entries.  Since there is no money tree growing in my front yard, I am going to be at the starting line in Louisville in August. This will be my third start at IMLOU and 7^th Ironman.
