run4yrlif - 2005-11-15 3:08 PM I don't think we can be full. Especially. if your screen name is "watergirl." Heck, we can kick runnergirl out to make room for you, if need be.

watergirl - 2005-11-15 2:05 PMCount me in. And if Georgia's full, I'll join whoever needs somebody

Thanks, Jim, but looks like I'll be joining southernaquagoddess, as we, um, coast. I wish I were in Savannah. The hills up here are brutal. Let the swimming begin - after I stuff myself with turkey, I should float better!

I swim at SportFit in Bowie.

If you are living in Columbia, you pretty much have to belong to the Columbia Association to get access to a pool.

Let me know if you need a recommendation on a facility.

Might I suggest that those of you with short team rosters go harassing trolling inviting others in your region to join your team? Also, feel free to name your team whatever you want.

I think I need to do some smack-inspiring of the Cali, Colorado and Carolina crowds. Slackers.

At this rate it is shaping up like we should go with an SEC v USA matchup.  Georgia and Florida taking on all comers.

midwest, midwest, midwest is the best best best!
Who we got so far, WI, OH, IL, MI, IA, IN, MN?

It won't be much, 'cause I'm only swimming once or twice a week right now, but I'll help out the flatlanders.

Mike, what matters is that you set a goal for yourself and achieve it. Great distances are irrelevant for the purposes of this challenge. Meeting 100% of a 20,000 yard goal is given as much weight as meeting 100% of a 60,000 yard goal.

Join the swim madness! Hope you can take some good-natured smack talkin'.

I am not exactly sure what we are doing, but I will do it.

I am in for mid-Atlantic. Atleast, that is where I assume North Cak-i-laki is...

Who is the team captain?

Can we have a "who can swim the farthest uphill" contest too?

With my form, I figure I'm swimming uphill at least 5 yards for every 25 yards I swim forward.

Yea, but I wasn't even sure I'd get four zeros into the goal! Looking at the schedule, I'll sign up for a whopping 5x2000=10,000 yards (as long as the pool cooperates, they were closed for an electrical fire last week/this week).
