Thanks, Jim, but looks like I'll be joining southernaquagoddess, as we, um, coast. I wish I were in Savannah. The hills up here are brutal. Let the swimming begin - after I stuff myself with turkey, I should float better!

If you are living in Columbia, you pretty much have to belong to the Columbia Association to get access to a pool.

Might I suggest that those of you with short team rosters go harassing trolling inviting others in your region to join your team? Also, feel free to name your team whatever you want.

I think I need to do some smack-inspiring of the Cali, Colorado and Carolina crowds. Slackers.

Mike, what matters is that you set a goal for yourself and achieve it. Great distances are irrelevant for the purposes of this challenge. Meeting 100% of a 20,000 yard goal is given as much weight as meeting 100% of a 60,000 yard goal.

With my form, I figure I'm swimming uphill at least 5 yards for every 25 yards I swim forward.
