Walking around town, kept seeing people with those poles, so we decided to get one each for our hike the next day. Boy were we glad we did so. I think they were the only things holding us vertical by the end of the day. I regretted that I only bought one for each of us and not two. kns57 - 2012-02-13 1:18 PM ironannekidd - 2012-02-13 8:50 AM Enjoy the freedom from work. Take care of that arm. Would not think you'd get an elbow injury just walking. Interesting. 4.5 mile walk wearing a 12 pound weighted vest, and using treking poles is DONE! I'm not sure about the swim yet though. My left elbow and wrist started bothering me about 2 miles in, but the third mile I was carrying the trekking poles. My elbow is a bit swollen right now, might just take it easy this morning and maybe swim this afternoon, or just lift. I was using trekking poles. I think that's what bothered my arm. I have the shock absorbing ones. I believe they help, especially my back, there is less jarring. |

I need to do that sometime. Nothing like a good zip down the hill |

A friend has some but she stopped using them because of the comments she got. She is odd. Maybe I will see if she still has them and I'll try them out. How is your elbow, Ann? |

I think that ever since I had elbow surgery a few years ago I have some tendonitis, or something like that. It bothers me when used excessively. I didn't lift yesterday either, it was painful to move. It is fine today, so I'm going to swim and lift. I can't tell you if the shock absorbing poles are any different than regular poles, but I can tell a difference when using them. I've used them on the Appalachian Trail, and on hikes around here. I like them. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: 100 Days of Ghoulie power, Part II The humidity in our house is less than the average humidity for the Gobi desert, Death Valley or the Sahara desert. The animals are all jumpy if it looks like we are going to pet them. They are tired of getting shocked. We even have the humidifier going! I am going to find a green house and go spend some time just breathing! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: 100 Days of Ghoulie power, Part II Okay, today my ABM is driving me crazy. But then again, what makes today any different than any other. Just talk to me, darn it. I'm not that hard to talk to. I find that I have wasted my time working on something that she had done and did not tell me she did. I spent an hour yesterday working on something and again today on something else. Darn it, I have a lot of other stuff I need to get done that I could have been working on . And she questions why she did not get Outstanding on her review. Communication is key. Rant over, thanks for listening. Edited by kns57 2012-02-14 2:49 PM |

I think you're easy to talk to. Maybe you should slip out for a run and see if she notices. And if she does, then tell her you're easier to talk to after you've had your exercise. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: 100 Days of Ghoulie power, Part II givemashot - 2012-02-14 2:51 PM thanks. I think she would be thrilled if I did slip out. She has wanted to be a branch manager and has not been promoted the last three times she interviewed. I have offered to coach her, but she has not taken me up on the offer. The last two people I coached both got promoted. Does she not see a pattern here? Hmmmm. She just needs to knock the chip off of her shoulder and work as a team mate and stop trying to undermine me. kns57 - 2012-02-14 1:49 PM Okay, today my ABM is driving me crazy.
