Hi Team - there has been a query with regard to cycle commutes, should they be counted as one stage or two?

Ive already stated that two a day workouts are fine i.e a spin class in the morning and a road ride at night would be two stages BUT a commute could be argued to be different as technically you HAVE to ride both ways...

Personally I think it comes down to how you counted it when you committed your stages... as long as you state how you are counting your commute in the beginning and stick to it I have no major objections but if anyone has a strong opinion regarding this please let me know.

Thanks

Cat

PS: HUGE congratulations to everyone who has already got a ride in for the challenge

Hill country, Tx. I'm at the North East end of what is allowed to be called San Antonio. This ride was rolling hills. I'll plot the course a bit later in the route mapper to give you an idea.

Haha thought I would clarify... Cat (me) would like to know time ridden etc so she can compare it to the Tour riders to make this more fun! But if anyone is uncomfortable thats just fine!!!

For Example... I wont be reporting distance because I dont have a  working cycle computer at the moment so it is entirely up to the individual beyond stages.

Im gonna get some stats about the peloton, average speed, distance etc to give us an indication of where we are all at but its all in the name of FUN

well its your judgement call: you want a hilly stage logged or rolling? i think it's all relative. my 'hilly' ride has 300ish feet elevation! my flat: minus 25 feet.

well done to all who rode y'day

My ride yesterday was 31.8 miles, flat/rolling. In fact, all of my rides will be flat/rolling -- we don't have any mountains and not many hills in Florida.

No riding today -- I went out for a run this morning, and plan to hit the beach this afternoon. But I'll be back at it again tomorrow.

How about you?

Hi team,

I went for a bike ride yesterday evening on the trainer.  So, I didn't go very far .  No biking for me today.  Just a swim.  It was really beautiful out in the ocean.

It has been raining here all day today. Managed to get a run in, that made me wet. Was thinking of making a short ride (outside of the plan), but when I put my nose outside, it was freezing, so tomorrow I have a plan to make 100k. Wish me luck with that!

Did you see that crash at the Tour today 3km before the end? Damn that was heavy. Spooky even.

Sappho, does your sigline translate to "Go Green Cheese"?

Maybe if you ate less green cheese your team might be able to ride more...Just sayin'
