The subject of Twinkies has come up two days in a row for me. Yesterday a co-worker brought in chocolate dipped twinkies. I had half of one. It wasn't that great. The chocolate was good though. A different co-worker brought in hummous and wow! is it ever good. She gave me the recipe. Oh, sorry - back to twinkies.... hummous is good fat, i thought? chick peas, tahini, garlic and olive oil - what could be bad about that! i say pile it on! Yeah, it's good fat. Unless your trainer says 'you get 15% fat in your nutrition plan' and you blow your whole day on a little hummus. Tahini paste is ground up sesame seeds, so it's sorta like peanut butter. Good fat, but still way more fat than protein. If I wasn't trying to lose a few pounds, I'd say pile it on too!! jeebus! 15%! he/she's a meanie! good luck w/that That one was a meanie!! (He sure got results though.) I got a new one last week. He upped me to 20%. Still. After a couple months of eating lots of fun things like cheese and peanut butter, I'm having an "adjustment process" shall we say. |
