I am also a couch potato, trying not to get hooked on the new shows is not happening.

I am hoping for some tall, dark and handsome man to whisk me off to an island paradise.  I'd love to be a stay at home mom!  Nancy, YOU'RE LIVIN' THE DREAM, LIVIN' THE DREAM I TELL YA!!!!  What's going on at General Hospital?  I am sooo far behind, time for a sick day to catch up!  LOL :P

That is my favorite soap but haven't seen it in a while either. Always easy to catch up on though.  & work is around the corner, I need to pay for preschool!  Well I really don't but I miss being a nurse to people I don't know.

Weird! The subject of Twinkies has come up two days in a row for me. Yesterday a co-worker brought in chocolate dipped twinkies. I had half of one. It wasn't that great. The chocolate was good though.

A different co-worker brought in hummous and wow! is it ever good. She gave me the recipe.   Wish it wasn't so full of fat. There's nothing better than really good hummus and piping hot pita bread. MMMMMmmmmm!!!!!!

Oh, sorry - back to twinkies....

hummous is good fat, i thought? chick peas, tahini, garlic and olive oil - what could be bad about that! i say pile it on!

Yeah, it's good fat. Unless your trainer says 'you get 15% fat in your nutrition plan' and you blow your whole day on a little hummus.  Tahini paste is ground up sesame seeds, so it's sorta like peanut butter. Good fat, but still way more fat than protein.  If I wasn't trying to lose a few pounds, I'd say pile it on too!!

jeebus! 15%! he/she's a meanie! good luck w/that i'm sure all the running for the challenge will help

That one was a meanie!! (He sure got results though.) I got a new one last week. He upped me to 20%. Still. After a couple months of eating lots of fun things like cheese and peanut butter, I'm having an "adjustment process" shall we say.   Run Run Run!!!

Hey everyone!  I am joining your team for this challenge. I hope to do 50 miles in October. I have a 5 mile race this weekend and I am hoping to do the Flying Pig Marathon in May. Running has been "the weakest link" for me, so this will be great.  I just got engaged on Sunday night and I need to get buff for my bride!!!!

El, shouldn't you be in bed?  Or playing with that cutie little pup?  Thanks for the kudos!  Does running late count for any part of my challenge?

Jeez. You sound like my trainer. Already played with the pup. She likes getting her teeth brushed, so I do mine, then do hers (her toothpaste tastes like chicken broth), and we all go nite-nite. Nite-Nite!

Oh and running late counts double miles. And we take 5 away from another team. I'm thinking the Werewolves.

welcome to the living dead team - the one that will win the challenge, by the way, so even though you joined an in-progress challenge, you've joined the winning team!

i also pledged 50 miles this month - so we'll keep each other in check!

Purple PEOPLE Eaters, NOT Purple ZOMBIE Eaters.  Wow, we're scared!  Oooooooo.

(okay, technically, Zombies are undead people, per se, but that's moot).

I have 2 questions:

1). How's our team doing?  I felt great last night running in the rain.  Yeah, I got soaked, but it wasn't cold and there was no lightening!

2). Who's our team leader (and no, I'm not volunteering) so I can give my stats to?
