Emma, those look like good options.

Another thought is a bonus point if you pass up a treat such as....someone makes brownies or cookies and you choose to not eat them. But limit the bonus points to a maximum of 1 a week?

Also after I posted earlier I thought of bonus point for every week that you get some sort of physical activity in each day that week.

This challenge has been really good for me.  I have lost about 10 lbs since Christmas.

rh8463 - 2011-01-27 9:13 AM No, its a bit of an odd one. It celebrates the landing of the first 11 convict ships from GB and the raising of the Union Jack. Anyway, basically these days everyone goes to the beach, has BBQs and drinks lots of beer. I did the first two anyway!

Impressive, most people who were born here don't actually know what the date is about, a politician down here really put his foot in his mouth when he messed up an answer on the radio as to what the date was about.

Wait until next year when the date falls on a Thursday, it is unAustralian to not take the Friday off work as well and make it a real long weekend.  Better start planning for it now.

No beach where I was, so had to be content with some rides down a river through some minor rapids on a tyre inner tube, got some good scrapes on the knees from it and my ankles got banged up and swollen, but gees it was fun.  Then settled back with a roast and some Bundy.

Sweet - I love extra long weekends! Just hope I still have a job and am still here then! I think I am done living from one 12 month contract and visa til the next so I need a 3 year contract and a residency application otherwise I might head back to the UK. I would rather stay here though....

I have used heed, which some people like and some don't.....I have heard great things about Infinit from people who use it.  Everyone is so individual in what their needs are and what their gi tolerances are.  I would try sample sizes if they're available so you don't sokc a lot of funds into something that you either don't like or doesn't agree with  your body.

BTW, Nice ride!  I am just a bit jealous since I had to let my right leg settle down.

I'll do it again.  Based on the forecast - my early activities will be "snow shoveling".  Depending on the forecast - we are to get freezing rain, sleet, snow, freezing rain, snow.  Yep - in that order.  One warning calls for "up to" 12 inches.  I don't think we'll get that, but we'll see.  Fun starts tomorrow afternoon!  (so I better run in the am )

I use Endura, but I'm not sure if you guys get that...

I agree with Judi anyway, try lots first and see what you like. Read the labels to see what is in it too.

As far as is I go longer than 2 hrs and need something solid, I'm a big fan of bananas, granola bars or gummi sweets.

So, I have to share todays challenge for me with everyone. I put myself on a diet on Friday, to lose 3kg for my fight in a month. Not really major but I'm avoiding all junk food and usually I am partial to cake, or something sweet, most days.
Anyway, on Friday afternoon a hamper arrived for me from a lab company. I saved, begged and "acquired" labels off media bottles to get the hamper and it looks great, wine, cookies, cake, candy....you get the picture! The contents are now in the bottom draw of my desk, less than an arms length away, I have eaten my lunch for the day and I am STARVING!!!!!!

If we get points next month for passing up treats then I figure I should get at least 10 for something like this!!!

I hear your cry for help Rachel and can confirm that the courier company will need to send it on to Melbourne.  I promise to let you know that none of it was any good and you did better without it...

Ha ha nice try and NOT A CHANCE! I already had to wrestle it from the guys in stores!

I am hoping that I have miraculously lost 3kg over the weekend and therefore can start eating it tomorrow. Otherwise it will have to wait a week, or two....or three.....

That was why I loved getting to fight in the open weight category, never had to worry about being under any weight.  Come weigh in time for tournaments, all my friends were out doing jogs to try to drop the 500 grams they needed to lose to correctly weigh in, whereas for me it was never a worry.  Half the time I didn't even bother taking my shoes off for the scales.

Aaaah, I am bringing this upon myself as I would rather fight down a few kg. I could easily have said I would fight at my current weight. Actually I don't even know if they have an opponent for me yet so she may end up being heavier than planned - in which case bring on the CAKE!!!!

Mmm cake... My first week of February won't be very good sweets wise because my husband and I will be eating the top tier from our wedding cake for at least 3 days.
